If you truly believe anything is possible with God, why do you question the TARDIS booth principle as a possible means for the numbers that have you in a quandary over the ark? I have no problem at all accepting some form of that idea, or any other as He chose to use it, was used to accommodate the Kinds on the ark.
Just because anything is possible through God, which we agree on, doesn't mean that anything and everything is equally plausible.
For example, you deny macro evolution. But you accept micro evolution. You accept changes in allele frequencies and you accept the reality of mutations and things like this. We also have fossils in a succession, for example fish in the early devonian, fish-like tetrapods in the mid devonian and full tetrapods in the late devonian.
Whether or not you're willing to admit to it, these are in fact, forms of evidence which exist in reality, which support the likely hood that evolution occurred.
Now, let's look at our alternative. The TARDIS booth idea involves God opening up an alternate dimension within the ark. And according to AV, God also teleported animals to Noah so that Noah could take them into this alternate dimension for safety from the flood.
One has to wonder why God had Noah build a ship to begin with, who needs a boat when you can just teleport to another dimension?
So logically, it doesn't make any sense. But beyond that and more importantly, there is no scientific evidence for this happening. And further , scripture doesn't even say anything about portals to an alternate dimension nor does scripture say anything about God teleporting animals to the ark.
Genesis 7 states that God came to Noah and told him to build an ark and to put 2 of each kind of animal on the ark, for in 7 days, God would flood the earth.
Nothing is said of teleportation or animals travelling around the planet by foot for the past 120 years, nor anything mentioned about any portals leading to a 4th dimension.
So in one hand we have experts in science who study creation, who have evidence for evolution. Physically real evidence based on God's creation.
The other side has nothing but their imagination and illogical ideas. Again, why would God have Noah build an ark if God was just going to teleport them to an alternate dimension anyway? And there is no scriptural basis for this either. It's just imaginary.
