History uses the scientific method just like almost everything else. I'd consider it a science in its own right.

If you think there is no disagreement on history, then I presume either you know that the Bible is most likely incorrect or you haven't met many historians.

Historians are scientists, are they?

No wonder you guys claim there was no global flood, or exodus from Egypt, or resurrection, etc.; it's science now.

not even a sandal, or article of clothing found?

How about taking all that and shoving it in a den of evil and SCIENCE, then going back in one week. I bet you'd not only find that it still exists, but that we also learn a little bit about the culture from studying these tents, stakes, pots, etc.

They did go after the source and paid the consequences.

I'm sure they enjoyed it though when a whole generation died right in their backyard; and I have no doubt they cleaned up after them as well.

Except that there's no archeological evidence that would distinguish the Amalekites from Edomites or other semites. And the only 'historical' accounts of them were written by those who despised them the most, the very same who claimed to have destroyed them all at their merciful deity's command.
