No it doesnt, its bad science to mix religion with science and even worse theology.

Every time religion has tried to oppose physical reality (i.e. science) it has lost.
But then we have to sit and watch science pwn science.

Science "discovers" stuff and offers it to us commoners as real, factual truth.

And we'd better get the right answers on their tests, or they'll flunk us.

Then, later, science "improves" itself by finding out that they were wrong in the first place.

And yes, I'm thinking of Nebraska Man and Pluto.

So what makes science bad in the first place?

Their false advertisements, like Nebraska Man, or their constant changing facts to suit their latest discoveries?

But the one thing they will not change, is their stance on what is written on the pages of the Bible.

It's nice to think that, one of these days, science will catch up to the real truth with some discovery; but, according to the Bible, that's not going to happen.

The rift between science and Scripture will grow wider, culminating with a superscientist who will show great signs and wonders in the lab.

Then the Creator of the universe shows up and puts an end to all this charade.

At one time the church was outraged at the claimed discovery of sunspots - on the basis that the sun was made perfect by god.
Then what did the church do?

Did they [correctly] realize: "Oops. We forgot. We live in a cursed universe"?

You're taking yourself too seriously. Contradicting what you call "biblical truths" is merely an unavoidable side effect of science.
I don't think contradicting Scripture is just a by-product of science.

But for the record, some think science is driven by mans' wisdom alone, and others think science today is driven by another driver.

You're still taking yourself too seriously. Science doesn't contradict scripture as such, it only contradicts the interpretation of scripture adhered to by a few eccentric minority Protestant sects. Not worth the bother of doing intentionally.

Very fluffed up ego to think anyone's woo woo,
be it Atlantis, cube root of the pyramid, astrology
etc is of some status to challenge science or
in any way be worthy of more than contempt
or at best, a bit of pity for the poor benighted
who are suckered by garbage.

Have you completely forgotten that we all have one thing in common?
We are all humans that think in different ways .. one example is thinking scientifically, and another is thinking the way you do, (aka: by beliefs posited as truths).
We're all in this together, as thinking human brothers/sisters (etc)!

You mean imitating the bible? Genesis 1 vs Genesis 2? Genesis 32:30 vs John 1:18?
So what makes science bad in the first place?

Sauce for the goose is not sauce for the gander?

That's only because the bible supports both sides of an argument
