That seems like a very scary way of looking at it. There's nothing I fear more than people that think that right and wrong exist only they believe in a diety and that they will be punished in the afterlife. This is because it seems that these people would be the type to kill other people once they lose their faith.

I am a Christian, but I think that if I ever became an atheist, I would still know the difference between right and wrong, good and evil. I have lots of atheist friends (I'm a grad student), and they behave morally, not because they fear punishment or the law, but because they believe in the golden rule.

Also, your post has nothing to do with evolution, and you really should consider studying biology before you attack it. It'll make your argument a lot stronger.

I just do not feel there is enough substantial evidence, but from a another angle. I feel if Evolution was true, than there should be no moral code and everything should be accepted.

Angelwarrioress, I want you to listen, very carefully, to what I'm about to tell you. This has nothing to do with the evidence for evolution. Evolution is one of the most evidenced bodies of study in the entire history of science. We have more evidence supporting evolutionary theory than we do (arguably) for supporting our current theory of gravity. We have tons of evidence for evolution. Freaking tons. It's really hard to describe how much evidence there is for it. There's lots. And lots. And lots.

But that doesn't matter to you, because a) you don't understand evolution, and b) if you were shown the evidence you'd have no idea what you were looking at. You have some very critical misconceptions about how evolution works, and those need to be corrected (very badly) before we can expect you to understand the evidence that's presented to you.

You've chosen to ignore what 99.9% of biologists say because of your religious beliefs, and this is what comes of that decision. You need to correct the nonsense that's been fed to you by creationist propaganda sites, and you need to be willing to do so. The vast majority of creationists we deal with here are not willing to take that step. Are you?

Thanks random_guy and I do not know as much as say someone who studied evolution most of their life and I am still learning. Anyone can PM me some info and I will PM some info back only with their permission. Even if I was not a Christian, I would never hurt anyone, I could not hurt a fly. Never have and never will. My point is if we are not a creation with a soul, then there is no right or wrong. We are just highly evolved animals and everything should be excepted. If life has no point, why should anyone care. To the atheist you die and then your worm food, and thats it.

Laws are summaries of an observation that is observed with great regularity. But a law does not explain the observation. The law of gravity tells us the mathematical relation of three factors: the size of two bodies, the distance between them, and the force of gravity they experience as a result. But it doesn't explain what gravity is or why it works as it does. That is the job of the Theory of Gravity.

Theories often include and explain scientific laws. In science, theory is the best you get. Ideas are not accorded the status of theory without a significant amount of well-tested evidence and preferably some successful predictions to show they are essentially correct.

The Theory of Evolution will never become a law of science because it is wrought with errors. This is why it is called a theory instead of a law.

Even scarier are the people who believe their faith requires them to kill other people.

Sometimes it seems as if it is religion rather than atheism that loosens the inhibitions that ordinarily keep us observant of moral codes.

Truly, I think it is each individual person. No matter what belief, race, sexual orientation,etc. There is good and bad in all. I see I still have a lot to learn in the evolution area, but I will have to go in a minute , because I can no longer see the screen, as I have been here way to long. Feel free to pm me some links, so that I might be corrected and I apologize if I offended anyone. However, I will not give up my faith if I so chose to believe in evolution due to some substantiating evidence as it has saved my life and science cannot explain miracles.

hmmm thats pretty interesting. I've never quite thought of it like that. And it make sense considering other Alien Civilization wouldn't want to come into contact with another hostile civilization so they might just want to play it safe.
