What are the odds that RichardT will not be back to defend the cut and paste of this tripe? Is this evidence that Creationists have a hard time thinking for themselves?

I read the first paragraph and cut out. Nobody with a shred of intelligence would actually think that scientists "believe" in theories. Not only is this a case of mis-use of symantics, but it is hardly a "belief" when supported by millions of individual pieces of evidence. So according to this guy, we "believe" in atoms and "believe" in black holes?

Evolution is an observed fact. Evolution is different from the Theory of Evolution. The Theory of Evolution is a theory. The Theory of Evolution is not a religion. It does not impose moral values on the people who accept it.

Seriously, simple refutation: if the Theory of Evolution was a religion, then why do most Christians accept evolution?

It's OK. Morris has gone where all liars go in the end.

Now, now... we can be more courteous towards the deceased, despite our quarrels.

I think Mark Twain said it best (of course, I think Mark Twain said almost everyhting best) when he spoke about Elisha Bliss, his first publisher, who had bilked him out of a small fortune in royalties:

"He has been dead for a quarter of a century now. My bitterness against him has faded away and disappeared. I feel only compassion for him, and if I could send him a fan, I would."

I understand why you say this. Hence everyone is being courteous about Stalin, Hitler, Jim Jones etc. Just as we'll all be courteous when Kent Hovind carks it.

Oh, you meant *that* kind of courteous. :D

Indeed. More from Mark Twain, referring to the death of a New York Tammany Hall boss...

"I refused to attend his funeral, but I did write a very nice letter saying that I approved of it."

It was something like "Creationists of Christian Forums Unite!" by that girl Jan.
