  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Define "origins".

Searching for the origins of the universe is like digging into your family history. First you learn about your parents & then you dig up information about their parents, & then their parents, & so on. It is all about going as far back as we can possibly tread.

Well, genology is analagous to what is done in Biology when it comes to evolution. "Origins" is an amorphous word often used by Creationists as if it has some explanatory power in and of itself. It really doesn't. If you want to talk about Cosmology, then do so. If you want to talk about primordial nucleosynthesis, then do so. If you want to talk about astrophysics, then do so. If you want to talk about abiogenesis, then do so.

But the OP refers to evolution and it only happens to extant life on an extant planet made of extant elements in an extant Universe.

What does that have to do with evolution?

Matter &/or energy &/or stuff that was needed to start the big bang is also decreasing or changing over time which means that the farther back you go in time the more you need of it. If there is no beginning then you have to go an infinity back in time & there you would find an infinite amount of material needed to start the big bang.

Over time material decays like all things do. Like when you go back in time the sun was bigger & if you go back in time the material needed for the big bang was bigger.

How familiar are you with Big Bang Cosmology and subjects like primordial nuclosynthesis?

Er, mass/energy is a conserved quantity, champ.

Take issue with that notion if you want, but what you're posting here is not what science is claiming and is a total strawman.

Primordial imagination. An endless what if game.

'What if all the laws we know on earth applied and were all there were...what would we need to go boom in the imagined past...'

Not science in any real sense of the word.

They says we are star stuff, that a lot of the elements that make up people come from a star.
That opposes the truth I read from God.

No support exists for that claim. About the best you can say is...'We can see bits of what is out there and the bits we can see are similar to what we have on earth..'

Every element burns at a different color. So they can look at the light from a star and see what elements make up that star. The older the star the more complex the elements are that makes up that star. Brian Cox has some videos on youtube that explains this subject.

False! The stars are all the same age except the ones born since creation. The differences in their nature you have no idea about. You are merely reciting the standard stellar godless evolution mythology, and how it seeks to explain creation afar.

They have no clue. They imagine ideal situations in a never never land imaginary past.

LOL. I suggest you look at your own creation story if you want to see a never never land imaginary past.

As for us, if we don't have a clue, we can at least say that. A lack of knowledge is not something to be ashamed of. And we certainly feel no need to fill a gap of knowledge with magical thinking.
