Would it be a good idea for somebody to write all the basic idea of evolution including the basic details (natural selection, genetic drift, punctuated equilibrium) as a reference for anybody who does not completely understand the concept without having to wade through all of these threads? Perhaps even making it a sticky? What do you think?

but then TEs could use their favorite argument any longer. You know, the "you just don't understand evolution" routine

Hmmm. I don't think that I've ever used that argument before. I always try to explain evolutionary theory when possible.

Thanks for the link Dracil, but I was thinking more of a one stop shop for basic information on evolutionary theory. If somebody needed more specific information they could go to that link, but do you think that a single thread talking about evolutionary theory itself would be useful?

Actually, I am working on just that. But it will be a few weeks before it is ready for posting.

There is so much good literature already out there.
