  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Science is well aware of the domesticated plants and animals we find in the middle east. All of these came out of the garden of Eden.

Where is the evidence for that claim?

We read about all these plants and animals in the Bible.

You can read about brooms in Harry Potter books. This isn't proof that they flew around on them.

Are you just making it up at this point?
Are you just pretending that you have not studied up on population genetics? If you had then you were would see that it is obvious Adam and Eve were the founding mommy and daddy of the Hebrew people.

That is a horrid website. It uses arguments that have been refuted time and again.
I did not put much effort into it because no serious evolutionist would deny that Darwin got a lot of stuff wrong. In fact they will explain that is what science is all about is correcting their mistakes as they go along. I have this conversation with my doctor all the time. He is so convinced that his song and dance is true and right untill we looked at his advise from 10 years ago to see how much has failed the test of time.

It isn't obvious at all. Any group of people is going to have a most recent ancestor for any given allele, no matter what people you group together. I see no reason why the MRCA has to be a mythical character in a book.

White man speak with forked tongue. First you say it is not obvious then you say it is obvious. The people we are talking about are the very first food producers. Science has puts lots and lots of study into this. All of the information and research even in the last 10 years will verify the bible is accurate and true. I give you tons and tons of rock solid scientific evidence showing you the Bible is true. What do you give me to substantiate your claims the Bible is not true? You got zip zero nothing.

You are speculating that domesticated plants and animals came out of the Garden 6,000 B.C. We have evidence that the horse was domesticated in Saudi Arabia as early as 9,000 B.C.

Well, one chapter is a little easier to understand than 150 years of research.

Do you understand that i do not "believe" the theories of evolution ... that has nothing to do with my ability to comprehend your theories .

White man speak with forked tongue. First you say it is not obvious then you say it is obvious.

Please stop twisting my words.

The most recent common ancestor for you and your cousins is your grandparents. Are your grandparents Adam and Eve?

What is not obvious at all is that the MRCA for any group of people is a mythical character from a book since ANY group of humans will have an MRCA.

The people we are talking about are the very first food producers.

Why does that make Adam and Eve real people? Why not Gilgamesh or Enkidu? What makes the myths in the Bible any truer than the myths in the Enuma Elish which predates the Bible by thousands of years?

All of the information and research even in the last 10 years will verify the bible is accurate and true.

You haven't showed us any of that information yet.

What do you give me to substantiate your claims the Bible is not true? You got zip zero nothing.

The burden of proof lies with the person making the claim, which is you.

If you don't believe in Heliocentrism, does the Earth stop moving about the Sun? Do you really think that the universe changes to conform to your beliefs?

You are speculating that domesticated plants and animals came out of the Garden 6,000 B.C. We have evidence that the horse was domesticated in Saudi Arabia as early as 9,000 B.C.

The DNA of domestic horses is very diverse. This suggests they may have been domesticated in more than one place, from several different wild horse populations.

I did not know horses were domesticated in the middle east. I thought they came from Mongolia.

There is a girl I am interested in that is very much into horses. So I would be glad to do a bit of research if I can come up with something to impress her on the subject.

it does not need to .its past and present and future form and all its activities are perfectly in line with my beliefs in God who made it .. what i don't believe is "your " theories of how it came to be .they are biased in the extreme. ( and wrong )

Then why do we find genetic evidence for humans and chimps sharing a common ancestor, such as orthologous ERV's?

what i don't believe is "your " theories of how it came to be .they are biased in the extreme. ( and wrong )

How are they wrong? How are they biased?

Your making the claim the Bible is not true so you have the burden of proof. You have nothing to back up your claim other then rhetoric. All of science backs up my claim for the truth we find in the Bible. Because the Bible only covers the last 6,000 years.

They only exclude your claims of how God created because there is no evidence for those claims.

How do you explain the genetic evidence for humans sharing a common ancestor with other species? How is it biased?
your first sentence is circular argument based on your choice to disbelieve God thinking you will not be held accountable for doing so .and it remains biased because it excludes God ..
and your second sentence is pointless ..God made everything upon the earth but in man he breathed the breath of life making us a living Soul .. he did not do that to any other of his created creatures on earth .
and as a living soul inside a body, having knowledge of Good and evil, we are accountable to him for what we do with it . wishing it were not so wont make it so .

I am making the claim that there is no evidence to support it.
For well over 100 years people have been coming up with rock solid scientific evidence to support the Bible. We continue to allow science to verify that the bible is accurate and true.

What evidence have I ignored? All I have seen is your claims and no evidence.

and it remains biased because it excludes God ..

It doesn't. If there is evidence for God in the process then God will be included.

and your second sentence is pointless ..God made everything upon the earth but in man he breathed the breath of life making us a living Soul ..

Evidence please.

and as a living soul inside a body, having knowledge of Good and evil, we are accountable to him for what we do with it . wishing it were not so wont make it so .

Again, these are empty assertions. Where is the evidence?
