You would have to talk to the DNA people for that. The Hebrew people descended from Abraham and Sarah. I think they use something called Cohen marker for that. The Arab Muslim people descended from Abrham and the Egyptian maid Sarah. Actually it was Sarah's maid Hager and that caused a lot of upset in the household.

I see the problem. Adam and Eve are not in the chapter on evolution, they are in the section on ecology. Population Ecology to be more exact. We should test the students on ecology as much as we test them on evolution. They need to read the whole book.

Those markers only show that you share one common ancestor. Also, the Cohen marker is not found in all people claiming to be Hebrew.

My guess is that you have seriously misunderstood those DNA studies, such as "Mitochondrial Eve". Here is a nice little picture that illustrates why these markers do not indicate that a single couple birthed a nation.

Only one of your 4 great grandmothers gave you your mitochondria. Likewise, if you are male only one of your 4 great grandfathers gave you your y chromosome. Does this mean that those were the only 2 great grandparents you have, or the only 2 great grandparents that gave you any DNA? No. They were just 2 out of 8 grandparents who all gave you DNA in roughly equal amounts.

though i do not believe it (Gods word) only as a choice between two options but due to the tangible outworking of its truth in my life .
the lord JEsus consistently displays himself to be faithful to what he has caused to be written of him ... inexplicably so.

and it remains that- who so ever will believe (will ,as in the conscious act )in the lord JEsus shall not perish but have everlasting life

it is all very good news and far exceeds anything any alternative has to offer me or any one .

I have. Several times, cover to cover. It's also why I can confidently say A&E never existed. It's also why I'm atheist.

here is a thought . do you exist? oh sure you'll jump up and down because your here now debating , but later when you a dead and your body lays in the dust ... no one will know you ever existed ,there will be no observable evidence of your when your grave stone has eroded itself to dust .. will you ever have existed .. none will know less will care .does that mean you never existed ... ? nope .. and yet this is the basis upon which you deny that Adam and ever existed .bit circular to say the least .

prove they existed you cry... prove they didn't we say .. -yours is the burden of proof you cry .. but since it is you trying to disprove then the burden remains with you also .
but when all is said and done .. faith is a willful choice to believe and act upon that conviction.
iv done so and both received and tangibly experienced the result of doing so ..
while in contrast if i believe what you say i gain nothing and experience nothing that i will not experience having never met you nor heard you .you offer nothing in a meaningless void .. its just not very inviting when folks say to me here is nothing with nothing inside it ... the only reply one can give to such an offer is nothing for nothing .

Eh, that's kinda pushing it. If Adam and Eve were just any two random humans (the only version of the story that works with what we know from genetics) and not the progenitors of all of humanity, then there's no particular reason to believe we'd find sources of their existence. After all, why would they be important?

It's difficult to find evidence of people that lived a few hundred years ago. Genealogists that go back 6,000 years is nothing short of amazing. If your aware of the magnitude of that or not.

Still we do have some information of ancient mesopotamia outside of the bible. They were very excited about that back in the 1930's. Not a lot of recent work is going on in Iraqi right now because it is not considered a safe place to take students to work for the summer.
