• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

*shrugs* i took too many tests today.. the eharmny one took forevr and a day and then this one had too many big words.
Well, CFeet, I'm almost wondering if you fit right in the middle of things, so that they can't get a handle on where you are.

Everyone else, you can do lots of Myers-Briggs stuff over on the "What are you thread"!

Edit: ------
You are:
very expressed introvert
slightly expressed sensing personality
slightly expressed thinking personality
slightly expressed judging personality
------

I copied this from your other post - that may well explain some things. I'd guess that you're very much one on one if even that, and so balanced in the other dimensions that they can't put you in a box.

Eharmony is highway robbery.

I signed up about 6 months ago. I proceeded to be matched up with some of the most boring, sub-literate people to walk Creation. I'd sooner pay the $40 to bribe my friends to set me up with someone halfway decent.

And it worked for you. That's evidence going against it being a M-B thing.

Well, it worked to the point of finding a few matches, and might have worked more, but we can’t be sure since that’s as far as it went.

95% of the general population qualify as boring and sub-literate, so I don’t know if you can really blame E-harmony, though I’m certainly not promoting them.

PS- Nice avatar. Very disturbing.

Well, I'd not date 95% of the general population. So I suppose that my figures are right on target.

Thing is, if I'm not going to date someone intelligent, why should I go through the whole dog and pony show of EHarmony (and pay for the privilege!)? I can find that at the local bar, coffee shop, or library. For what they charge, I want them to pre-screen the morons for me.

"Unfortunately, we are not able to make our profiles work for you. Our matching system is not suitable for about 20% of potential users, so 1 in 5 people simply would not benefit from our service. We hope that you understand that we regret our inability to provide service for you at this time."

Paraphrase:
"Because you're not a stereotype and more specific than we understand, we withdraw our shining advertisements because for you they're simply not true. We hope that you understand that although we made all sorts of claims, they don't have anything to do with you!"

Oh I didn't have any faith in their claims to begin with :) I look for particular things in a mate that a site like that isn't going to capture.

The personality profile wasn't that great either... Myers-Briggs produces a more accurate extrapolation with one forth the questions.

I haven't read all of these posts, but my advice it to just avoid things that have a negative affect on your emotions. Stay away from, people, tv shows, music and anyting that affects you negatively. You are responsible for you own emotional health.

It's like putting your and on a hot burner, and saying "ouch that hurt". Then doing it again and saying "ouch that hurt". Well stop doing it!

As far as eharmony goes, yeah I've messed with it. The profile thing is exhausting. Then after that they say "No Matches Found". Every once in a blue moon I will get an email saying I have a match, but after reading it I just Close the Match. Never met anyone on there.
