That doesn't sound right. Not allowed to discuss the principles of a faith even though that pinciple in the name of the denomination. Does that sound reasonable? Did Jesus ever say you are not allowed to talk about tongues are baptism? How strange that would be.
Pam,

As you are somewhat new to CF, you may not be aware of this rule:
1.4 Congregational Areas

You may post in any of the Congregational Forums if you agree with the contents of the Nicene Creed and the Trinitarian nature of God, but you may not argue or debate with members of particular denominations and groups in their congregational areas unless you are a member of that particular denomination or group.

Because this is a congregational forum, in order to debate doctrine here, you must be a Spirit-Filled, Charismatic or Pentecostal Christian. If you are not, then you may not debate doctrinal issues, and are limited only to fellowship posts in this particular forum.

I think that you are questioning whether tongues are valid today is why people are questioning whether you should be debating this here.

There are many areas of CF that promote free discussion of doctrine, but the congregational areas require that you subscribe to that congregation's beliefs in order to be able to debate.

Just an FYI.

Oh, and by the way, Welcome to CF!

It's a shame that we defend our belief by saying "you can't come here".

Nice...
RevKidd,

We do not defend our belief by saying "you can't come here". We uphold the forum rules by saying that you may not debate in a congregational forum if you do not subscribe to the beliefs of that congregation.

We all must abide by the same rules.
