I've gotten all this in an email... and this is the one that stuck out to me as making the least sense. Seriously, what is the use in sterilizing that needle? I've thought and thought and can't figure out why they do that.. I wonder if there's a site on the internet that says why somewhere..

I can answer that. They have to prepare for the possibility that the lethal injection for whatever reason will not work and they can't make the prisoner sick. LOL
