Animals are also from the dust (= mortal). They have also the spirit (breath) of life. They are also living creatures (= souls).

The only diff is that man bears the image of God and authority over them.

Genesis was written for simple slave people. A fifth grader can understand Genesis. You crank it up to needing a Phd.

If God used evolution why not simply say so? Something like God formed man from the animals. But as you know He didn't. He told it like it happened.

When you will learn that "dust" means "mortality", not chemical material of man's composition, you will understand the message of Genesis much more.

From what I read... we are dust and water... made into flesh, and return to dust when we die.
