If a Christian doesn't feel comfortable being an evangelist/minister if he gives to/ support a world wide church could that take the place of a person preaching.....there are ALOT of Christians that are not evangelists or outgoing witnesses.

A local church, preferably one with theology and local evangelism work that you agree with. You need to do some vetting of where you are sending your money.

While you might be simply trying to avoid confrontation, if someone asks you about the Gospel you should be prepared with an answer for them to explain the truth of the Law and Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection as payment for sin. A caution: do not use your donation as an excuse to disobey this Scripture. May the Lord give you wisdom.

Great to support such Bible based ministries, but also we are all called to share the gospel, it doesn't have to be in a street-preacher way (many of us don't have the temperament for that)

Which gospel? Jesus had only the one which He said must be taught in the world before the end could come.

Not every Christian is called to be an evangelist, Ephesians 4:11, but all are called to be Christ's witnesses, be salt and light and must be ready to give an answer for the hope we have within us, 1 Peter 3:15.
So we are all called to be involved in evangelism - which does not always mean standing on a street corner handing out tracts.

The church is one body and works in various areas. Some are more adept to evangelism than others. Consider what John tells us.

3 John 5 Beloved, you are acting faithfully in whatever you accomplish for the brethren, and especially when they are strangers; 6 and they have testified to your love before the church. You will do well to send them on their way in a manner worthy of God. 7 For they went out for the sake of the Name, accepting nothing from the Gentiles. 8 Therefore we ought to support such men, so that we may be fellow workers with the truth.​

Supporting their work is just as important as participating and we are considered fellow workers.

That being said, one should always be ready to give a good defense of the gospel.
