You can't say that science can't measure faith, because while true it can measure any effect produced by faith. Science is very good at that sort of thing: it takes measurements and tries to attribute a cause, but when there isn't an apparent cause it says "I don't know".

I know you are not a Christian, but I always imagine heaven for every living being where we are all healthy , happy and have fun....a place filled with love and warmth. And you can do anything you want....so when I die I go scuba diving.....I always wanted to do that but because of my heart condition I am not allowed. When I die, I will do that.....I have this wish-list for God that I want to do as a happy phantom .

honestly......Buddhist munks train decades to be able to feel hardly no pain.....it is not just a matter of training. Your mind can do a lot of things but let's just see what real pain is , okay?

Try to put an orange up your nostril. My sis said that was what giving birth felt like. She had 4 natural births... And it was nothing compared to the pain that many of her terminally ill patients suffered...

I prefer to teach them how to stop paining.

First: I'm not saying that slaughtering the ill is the answer. I'm saying that it's inhumane to deny people the right to die. If I have the right to live, who are you to say I don't have the right to die?

Second: I mean this nicely - not every English word will sustain an "ing" ending. Cancer and pain are not verbs, and can't be used as such. (Nouns don't get "ing" endings.)

Third: You keep claiming it's possible to simply not experience pain. Here you claim you have the ability to teach this. Would I be wrong to guess that you're actually affiliated with the website you linked earlier that touts the ability to teach people exactly what you're talking about?

I said no such thing, and I'll appreciate it if you refrain from insulting me. I said that I thought it was cruel to saddle someone you love with a huge debt. Maybe you think you're worth ruining the rest of someone else's life. I, on the other hand, do not value my life so highly that I will ruin someone else's simply to gain a few more hours, days, months, or even years.

See, I'm not the one being materialistic. I'm the one saying that my life is not for sale. I'm the one saying that no amount of money is worth exchanging for more or less life. I'm the one saying that I do not value my life over the burdens of others.


It is compassionate to refuse to extend your own life at the expense of others.

You may not value others this highly, but don't try to twist it into some perverted thing.

Medical doctors thoroughly explain what the procedure entails and what can be expected before the patient pays any money.

Promising something vague and then asking for money before clarifying is nothing short of a scam.
