The Believer is secure because God will never forsake His People He has chosen in Christ before the foundation, that which is to the praise of His Great Grace Eph 1:4-6

4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.

1Samuel 12:22: For the LORD will not forsake his people for his great name’s sake: because it hath pleased the LORD to make you his people.

See God choosing His people for Himself from the beginning Eph 1:4 was not based upon anything He foresaw in them, for they were not yet created, and after creation and their birth, they were all dead in sin, so therefore there's nothing in them which can cause God to reject them. There being made His People is by Sovereign Grace, and the same Sovereign Grace maintains them as His People of choice, and so Grace will prevent them from ever being lost. For we read in Rom 11:29

29 For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.

Eph 1:12

12 That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.

Eternal security and perseverance of the believer is a fact because of the once and for all sealing of the Spirit unto the day of redemption Eph 4:30

And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
Eternal security is a biblical fact. However, Jesus was clear in the parable of soils that the second soil "believed for a while" and when testing/temptation came, "fell away" from the faith. So obviously believers can and have ceased to believe.

Also, consider:

Acts 19:9 - When he arrived and saw what the grace of God had done, he was glad and encouraged them all to remain true to the Lord with all their hearts.

Acts 14:22 - strengthening the disciples and encouraging them to remain true to the faith. “We must go through many hardships to enter the kingdom of God,” they said.

If perseverance were automatic or guaranteed, then these 2 verses would have not been needed.

Charles Templeton was a world evangelist who mentored a young Billy Graham. But later on, he left the faith, over a very sad misunderstanding of Scripture that seemed to contradict science.

There are many examples.

Jesus said of those given to Him, and who come to believe on Him these words :

Jn 6:37

All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.

This is eternal security ! The words cast out do refer to being cast out into darkness as in eternal death Matt 8:12

But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Jesus promised He will never cast out believers !

Those given to and drawn to Christ by the Father in saving faith shall be kept by Christ until he brings each of his own to glory.

Its Christs assignment to bring them to Glory Heb 2:10

10 For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.

Thats one of the many ways He is the Captain of their Salvation, for final glory is an aspect of Salvation !

Eternal security for those Christ died for is so true because of the nature of the redemption Christ obtained for them, Eternal Heb 9:12

12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.

Its eternal, because its potency is of unending continuance

Thats how long they have been set free from the guilt and punishment due to their sins against God.

I do not need to put whose name the quote is from, as you are entirely discussing with yourself on this page ?

Eternal redemption is from the pride of the devil, might as well quote a devil bible or gospel, that says you shall not die to Adam and Eve, that says no evil shall befall you, to Israel, that turns Gods grace into self seeking lust, and that promises us liberty, and says this is the word of God now..

Genesis 3:4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:

Jeremiah 23:16 Thus saith the Lord of hosts, Hearken not unto the words of the prophets that prophesy unto you: they make you vain: they speak a vision of their own heart, and not out of the mouth of the Lord.
17 They say still unto them that despise me, The Lord hath said, Ye shall have peace; and they say unto every one that walketh after the imagination of his own heart, No evil shall come upon you.

2 Peter 2:19 While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage.
