  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Why Pre-Millennialism is correct - The following passage does not indicate any sign that it should not be taken literal. So literal we take it.
This has not yet happened and will take place in the future. This is another reason the A-millennial theology is bankrupt, and false:
Isaiah 65:
17. "For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth; And the former things will not be remembered or come to mind.
18. "But be glad and rejoice forever in what I create; For behold, I create Jerusalem {for} rejoicing And her people {for} gladness.
19. "I will also rejoice in Jerusalem and be glad in My people; And there will no longer be heard in her The voice of weeping and the sound of crying.
20. "No longer will there be in it an infant {who lives but a few} days, Or an old man who does not live out his days; For the youth will die at the age of one hundred And the one who does not reach the age of one hundred Will be {thought} accursed.
21. "They will build houses and inhabit {them;} They will also plant vineyards and eat their fruit.
22. "They will not build and another inhabit, They will not plant and another eat; For as the lifetime of a tree, {so will be} the days of My people, And My chosen ones will wear out the work of their hands.
23. "They will not labor in vain, Or bear {children} for calamity; For they are the offspring of those blessed by the LORD, And their descendants with them.
24. "It will also come to pass that before they call, I will answer; and while they are still speaking, I will hear.
25. "The wolf and the lamb will graze together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox; and dust will be the serpent's food. They will do no evil or harm in all My holy mountain," says the LORD.

(1) Question: The Lord in the book of Revelation says that the tribulation saints take part in the first resurrection. Explain how pre-trib ends up with a resurrection prior to the 'first' one.

PeterAV
Every word of God is pure:
Why Pre-Millennialism is correct
What is spoken of has not happened yet. Following the Rapture, the Second coming and the resurrection that takes place at that time Christ will return and All Christians will be with Him.
4. In that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, which is in front of Jerusalem on the east; and the Mount of Olives will be split in its middle from east to west by a very large valley, so that half of the mountain will move toward the north and the other half toward the south.
5. You will flee by the valley of My mountains, for the valley of the mountains will reach to Azel; yes, you will flee just as you fled before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah. Then the LORD, my God, will come, {and} all the holy ones with Him!
6. In that day there will be no light; the luminaries will dwindle.
7. For it will be a unique day which is known to the LORD, neither day nor night, but it will come about that at evening time there will be light.
8. And in that day living waters will flow out of Jerusalem, half of them toward the eastern sea and the other half toward the western sea; it will be in summer as well as in winter.
Let me say it loud and clear I know the a-millennial false view of these verses. My heavenly father has saved me form this false view of Scripture. Glory be to God on the Highest for his truth.

To start with let me say this:

The doctrine of one Resurrection is False.

Regardless what millenial theology you are there is more than one resurrection taught in Scripture. This alone is a nail in the coffen of A-millenial Theology and the One Resurrection False Doctrine.

Gordon A former A-millenial and one Resurrection believer.

It is one thing to say it but you can not prove that there is a rapture, my friend. You have to read into the verse what you want it to say, which is eisogesis of scripture.

There will be a rapture of the sheep at the end of time at the same time that the goats will be cast into the lake of fire. That is what the Bible teaches.

Dr. Bernard Ramm in his book "Protestant Biblical Interpretation" (Page 172), writes.
"Therefore, interpret prophecy literally, unless the evidence is such that a special interpretation is mandatory. The literalist is not one that denies that figurative language and symbols are used in prophecy; his position is that prophecies are to be normally interpreted."
Hi. Another thing that does not help are Bad and Loose Translations of the NT.

While translating and doing word studies on revelation, I was pretty surprised to find this form of the greek word "cast" used only twice in the NT and coincidentally it refers to the 2 covenanats of Hagar and the Free woman.

It appears the "court" in revelation [referred to as the court of the High Priest in the Gospels] is "alleghorically" representing the Son of Hagar.

The "Sanctuary" is another interesting word but that is for another topic. Thoughts?

Gala 4: 25 for this Hagar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and doth correspond to the Jerusalem that now [is], and is in servitude with her children, 26 and the Jerusalem above is the free-woman, which is the mother of us all, .....30 but what saith the Writing? `Be you casting out! [#1544 ekbale] the maid-servant and her son, for the son of the maid-servant may not be heir with the son of the free-woman;' [Genesis 21:10]

(Young) Matthew 24:1 And having gone forth, Jesus departed from the temple [#2411], and his disciples came near to show him the buildings of the temple,
Revelation 11:1:And given to me a reed like unto [a] staff saying: Be Ye Arousing! and Measure Ye! the Sanctuary/Naos? of God, and the Altar and the Ones worshipping in it 2 And the Court [#833], the one without[ exqen] the Sanctuary/Naos [#3485] be you Casting- Out! [#1544 ekbale ] Out-side [#1854 exw] and ye should not be measuring it/her, because it/she was given to the nations/gentiles, and the city, the holy, they shall be treading [#3961] for 40 and 2 months.
