It really can... These are serious issues and the left used to talk about them all the time but now suddenly everyone is silent on the left and claiming the right to be insane because we see the problems with this.

This is why I stopped trusting in the elections to begin with, all the mail in voting, all the unsecured ballot drop boxes, people found with hundreds of ballots.

Even if it's against my side I just want to know the truth. Who really won.

But it does look, I say this only due to the sudden silence on the left, like the left has decided to use the openly known insecurity to their benefit.
Biden won. Really.

Your rude, cussing at me, and acting like your an unbeliever.

I have nothing else to say to you other than your on ignore. Good day.

I'm here to engage with people who enjoy talking to others respectfully about the issues of our day. Not people who vehemently cuss and spit at Christians.
Where did I cuss and spit at you?

My ire for some of you is directed at your inability to see through your cloak of ignorance about what is really going on with the desires of the far-right. I am a student of history........many tyrannical leaders have come to power due to the stupidity of the general populace.

Your problem is that you wish to deny reality, plug your ears, and turn a blind-eye to promote the "God fearing" far-right lunatics. Anyone who doesn't agree with you and challenges you is apparently an "unbeliever" in your mind.

I do believe, lady.........just not how you want me to.

There were no such people. It's a Republican lie.

Biden won.

Is this the shill thing to do? Just it's a lie conversation over?

No more normal conversations about normal Americans concerns amongst regular people?

That's cool... Whatever.

It's either cuss at people or just dismiss the concerns of the day. It's really ridiculous you know.

No evidence for fraud has been found. Trump lost every court case. Trump's legal teams, when they weren't hanging out in front of Four Seasons Landscaping, admitted in court that they have no evidence of fraud. These "concerns", if they exist, are not based in fact.

We're sick of reading the same lies from the propagandists like D'nesh D'sousa repeated over and over by the posters on this site. They get stale after 3 years. The question you need to ask yourself is why do your news sources provide you with false information? Are they directly lying or are they incapable of separating lies from truth?

Yes please, tell me how people pretended to look for fraud while the overseer's from the Republican side were denied entry to provide oversight in multiple cases and there was never found any evidence of fraud.

But I'm not talking about last election I'm talking about the one we are about to have!

You know... Forward progress it's not 2020 anymore it's 2024... Why don't we look to the here and now.

We're sick of reading

Then don't post in the section if you don't want to read it or hear about it.

Don't just dismiss people, cuss them out and call them liars.

Thanks.

P.S. I do know you didn't cuss at anyone, though it is definitely occuring in the thread here. As for the rest of the post, wasn't it you that told me quite similar once? I'm thinking you did.

Other than that no judgement... Just throwing it out there as an opinion.

What many of us are trying to show and have shown you and your ilk is WHY it's a lie, but you refuse to believe that. Instead, you bury your head in the sand and continue to spout nonsense.

Biden won. Trump lost. The courts proved it with each lost republican election lawsuit they brought. When the courts would not help the republicans to steal the election, Trump and the republicans resorted to crime and violence. If I was a republican (which I once was) I would question the terrible republican leadership and demand change. You blame democrats for what is going on instead of rightfully placing the blame on the republicans, and Trump.

Reputable source for this, please. Otherwise, it's not true.

In court, the Republicans testified that they were not denied entry.

I believe that this information is very important and interesting.
What say you?

Right off the bat, your piece starts off with a bit of dishonesty. When it quotes the two NYT pieces as saying that claims of voter fraud are "baseless" and "without evidence," it presents those quotes as if they applied to all claims of voter fraud, which is not true. Both articles are referring to specific sets of claims, with the "baseless" one being about supposedly faulty Dominion voting machines (mainly in Arizona) and the "without evidence" one being about a software problem in Detroit.

Did you read the article and also the New York Times article which it sourced, Mr. Insulter.

I did read it. I notice it included this paragraph, which jives with what Democrats have been saying for over a decade:

The trend will probably result in more uncounted votes, and it increases the potential for fraud. While fraud in voting by mail is far less common than innocent errors, it is vastly more prevalent than the in-person voting fraud that has attracted far more attention, election administrators say.

It also said this:
In the last presidential election, 35.5 million voters requested absentee ballots, but only 27.9 million absentee votes were counted, according to a study by Charles Stewart III, a political scientist at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He calculated that 3.9 million ballots requested by voters never reached them; that another 2.9 million ballots received by voters did not make it back to election officials; and that election officials rejected 800,000 ballots. That suggests an overall failure rate of as much as 21 percent.

That's a problem, but it's largely one of the mail system and the design of the ballots. Mail can be tracked and delivery guaranteed - the ballots just aren't (or weren't at the time that was written). There's no need to design ballots that are fussy and require a specific arrangement of envelopes and signatures and witnesses in order to be accepted. Even wedding invitations aren't that complicated.

The liberal New York Times admitted in 2012 the problems with Mail in ballots and voting. Yet you believe it ain't a problem worthy of concern. That is an intriguing opinion you appear to believe.
It's a problem worth addressing, however, it's not as if there are zero benefits to mail-in voting:
There are, of course, significant advantages to voting by mail. It makes life easier for the harried, the disabled and the elderly. It is cheaper to administer, makes for shorter lines on election days and allows voters more time to think about ballots that list many races. By mailing ballots, those away from home can vote. Its availability may also increase turnout in local elections, though it does not seem to have had much impact on turnout in federal ones.

Increasing voting access is a good thing. Vote harvesting, even like what they've described, is fairly difficult because it's labor intensive and kind of obvious. It may be able to flip a small local election, but it's unlikely that anybody would be able to scale it up enough to move the needle on a larger election.

Vague claims of malfeasance isn't going to make your case. (And specific examples are only going to be known to be misleading or false. You can stop now.)

I didn't accuse you (or any specific poster) of lying. But many of you do quote sources that lie -- a lot. I will criticize usage of disreputable and dishonest "information" sources used as "proof" here.
Thanks.

Then don't say "cuss out". It's not like it was an older post you were trying to fix. It was literally in the same post. You can fix it before you hit "post reply".
Other than that no judgement... Just throwing it out there as an opinion.
I'm not interested in your judgement of me -- at all.

Perhaps if there were any actual facts or logical reasons to think otherwise it wouldn't be an open and shut case. Oh wait, are we also not supposed to bring up all of the failed attempts by GOP supporters to come up with a shred of legal evidence either?

You can't "cuss" on this forum. It has a profanity filter.

'nuff said.

I entered this thread hoping for a touch of light conversation that could be had because this did used to be something we agreed upon on both sides of the aisle, and since we were discussing a NYT article I thought it would be a good reset to bring me back to earth before going back to more serious conversation in other threads.

I could not have been more wrong.

It was discussing a NYT article from a few years back. I thought it would be a little light agreement here on at least the basics.

You know, NYT from back when everyone read it.

At any rate, I'm probably out for a day or two.. take care.
