Episode 4:09 - The Shape of Things to Come

Did you guys notice the new DHARMA logo that was on the breast of the parka Ben was wearing while in the desert? It's one we haven't seen yet. I'm trying to find a picture.

AND!!!!!!!!!! Did you guys notice the name tag on his parka? It said HALLIWAX which is one of the names the Marvin Candle used in one of the orientation videos (can't remember which one). I belive it was Edgar Halliwax....

Oh and Ben's flashforward takes place in October 2005, which is (based on my calculations) On year and one month after the crash. But what I don't understand is, why was Ben confused about the date? I guess it probably has something to do with time travel I suppose.

Also... why is Jack sick? I mean, it seems as though the island cures people. This could definitely have something to do with Lock being a man of Faith and Jack being a man of science. Jack's lack of faith in the island is preventing him from being healed?

Oh and was anyone else like "GO BERNARD!" when he spoke up about knowing the code!! I was so proud of him.

6. Ben was likeable and acted like a real person. However no matter what he goes through, his hair looks exactly the same always.

My first thought with Jack's injury was that it had something to do with him removing Ben's tumor. Jack was acting like his back was hurting, and Ben had a tumor on his spine. I was thinking maybe the island had some kind of balancing act it had to keep -- heal a person's back, give another person a back injury. But since no one is in a wheelchair or has cancer, I'm thinking that's probably not right.

.... that it appears to be Jack's appendix causing the problem for him.

I was thinking it had to do with the wound we saw him have Kate stitch in the very first epi. My husband thinks too much time has passed since then. He certainly has been roughed up enough since arriving on the island to have developed some sort of injury.

I trusted that he took antibiotics....but then wondered if he had so much pain from the "whatever his problem is" that he started taking pain pills. My husband was wondering if they were really pain pills we saw him take.

Is this the beginning of his drug problem we see later?

That's what I was wondering... I've always wondered where Jack's drug problem came from. I don't like it...

For #2: They're off at the temple. Same place Ruosso and company were heading when they go ambushed.

I don't quite understand, can you explain this to me?

Walt seems to be able to be places he shouldn't be. Especially coming to locke on the islands. It seems that he can travel through space and or time like Ben can.

Jack being sick as a hook for the next episode? Come on, who cares? We all know he gets off the island. It isn't like he is going to die.

Sawyer was a downright hero in this episode! First he saves Claire, then he protects Hurley! It was all so cute!

I feel for Ben about Alex, though I know he's a bad guy and I shouldn't. I'm torn!

I also really feel for Sayid. He's my favorite character and he just always seems to get crapped on (pardon the expression).

Ben's ninja-like moves in the desert, I have to say, were pretty freakin' awesome.

It seems like he doesn't need a constant - he doesn't have the same problem other people have had. Neither has(had ) Mr. Friendly.
