  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Engaged and living with a non-christian man. What should I do?

It is not a sin to marry someone who does not share our religious beliefs. In fact the Bible says the opposite, that our spouse is sanctified.
You really need to read the book of Judges... In there you'll see pattern with the people of Israel. Their disobedience and disregard for Gods commandments regarding mingling with non believers got them in a lot of trouble.

I disobeyed God following my own path instead of what God wants me to do and now I'm suffering the consequences.
Please give me some advice!
Do not continue following your own path, as you realize now.

In God's Sight you are already one flesh him whom you are living with, so you may not leave , (if you are a born again believer subject to Jesus). If he chooses to leave, let him go without trying to keep him. (He is free to go). Pray rather for his salvation daily, and perhaps as written in God's Word,
even "without a word" he may be converted by seeing your changed life.
For good examples, get and read the short Biblical paperbacks "Total Joy" and "Total Woman" by Marabel.
