Romney should have stood his ground. Could Obama have intimidated him, or threatened him? It is sad that Romney is retiring, he would have been a good guy.
It does seem possible that someone did. It is not normal for a candidate to throw in the towel during a debate, especially a guy like Romney back in 2012 at the prime of his political career.

Cos he could help our own citizens out. We can still support Ukraine, but $60B is a little much. Even if Biden spent $40B on helping Ukrainians, the other $20B could be used to help struggling Americans survive. We spend too much money fighting foreign wars. Our military does not need an $800B budget. If we could cut even just $200B out of the military budget, that would be nice.

I think a year is optimistic. He is not currently fit to meet with other heads of state. Domestically, he can still function as the face of the administration while others do the actual administering - it’s not as if he has any actual interest in governing.
