  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Umm, Biden does not have much integrity either. If he did, instead of spending $60B in Ukraine, we would spend $30B in Ukraine, and use the other remaining $30B to help millions of Americans citizens or Veterans who are poor or homeless.
That's not about integrity. That is budgetting and policy.

Items of integrity are:
Trying to commit to campaign promises.
Not lying
Not extorting allies
Not trying to commit a scheme to steal the election
Not trying to interfere in the Justice System
Not firing people because you don't like who they are investigating
Not firing people because they testify against you
Not firing people because their brother testifies against you
Not putting people in jail because they write a tell all book.

I agree with you on this. If I were to say so, Biden has a bit more integrity compared to Trump, based on his actions. Now, if the Republicans can put up a better, honest candidate for 2028 similar to Romney, I would vote for said candidate.

I really think people should be voting based on policy differences, but it is hard to do that when you have a candidate like Trump who is crass and lies and doesn't act with integrity.

I can fully understand many historically Republican voters who have said they are going to vote Harris this time around.
Personally I have some red lines that I wouldn't compromise on and that if crossed I would vote against that party even if I really liked that parties policies.

It would be good if sometime in the future the Republican party put forth a candidate with integrity and the party just focusses on well thought out policies.

Again, this list is showing the liberals that there are a lot more of the elites oligarchs supporting Kamala Harris than Donald Trump. If Elon Musk was supporting Kamala, he would be every liberals favorite elite oligarch.
Who by by name are giving her campaign $45M per MONTH?

What is amusing is that the Dems call Trump fascist, Nazi, racist, mysoginist, orange and now senile. He has been called all sorts of names. His followers are called "deplorables"
And Trump is bad for name calling? I have lost track of the names he has been called.

Agreed 100%. My parents voted GOP through 2012, and have voted Democrat since 2016, as the GOP has not provided any good candidates with integrity in the past 8 years.

For myself, I will vote third party (American Solidarity Party, a Christian party) in 2028 when I feel it is safe to do so, but already voted begrudgingly for Kamala in 2024 biting my tongue.

I never have in all my life voted for a Democratic Party candidate. The Democratic Party is the Party of the progressive left wing liberalism, abortions, transgenderism, socialism, and globalism.

And I do agree with you, the Democrats have gone off the rails. The abortion stuff and LGBT stuff is the most demonic of them all, but at the same time, I want the choice to vote 3rd party, and I am afraid that Trump would get rid of all third parties including the American Solidarty Party, so voting for the evil party seemed like my only option.

But, I will be vocal and speak out against the LGTV agenda, and have already boycotted Target and Disney content. Once 2028 arrives, I will try to be full a 3rd party supporter.

Musk is promising to give $1 million each day to someone who signs his online petition, which reads: "The First and Second Amendments guarantee freedom of speech and the right to bear arms. By signing below, I am pledging my support for the First and Second Amendments." Any registered voter in the swing states is eligible.

Musk is also offering any Pennsylvania registered voter $100 who signs and refers another PA voter to sign.

"It is a federal crime to pay people with the intention of inducing or rewarding them to cast a vote or to get registered, an offense punishable by prison time. The prohibition covers not only monetary expenditures, but also anything of monetary value like liquor or lottery chances, a Justice Department election-crimes manual says."

I'll have to assume Musk has no legal team to tell him the supposed danger he's putting himself in. And that the guy who's revolutionized rocket science is that stupid.

Do tell, which ones are putting $45M per MONTH into campaigning on her behalf? Which ones are trying to directly pay swing state residents to sign his petition and register to vote? Which ones specifically are hopping around on stage with her during her rallies?

What is Musk buying?
Where did he say anything about registering to vote?
I understand the chance to win is only for registered voters but I didn't see any language telling people to register

My parents and I just want a Republican or candidate who has good manners, and spreads less divisiveness. But yes, we all do not stand for the woke stuff. :) Well hey, if Trump is in office, it should just be another four years, and then I can vote 3rd party if things goes well. Trump is getting old though, and will be 80 in 2026. We need someone younger to run. Maybe Vance might take over halfway through Trump's second term if Trump wins.

In the US military, I learned a long time ago that good manners ain't necessary to be a good leader.

That does sound like a good commercial. For myself, none of the two parties are for me, so a 3rd party would be nice.

3rd Party commercial (duration = 60 seconds):

That is true as well, but I like my leaders with both good manners, and good policies. One has good manners and awful policies (Kamala), while the other has somewhat okay policies, and awful manners. So, if I were to score them, Kamala squeaks by slightly. If Romney ran with his 2012 policies, I would vote for Romney in half a second, cos his policies were great, and his manners were top notch.

Your quote about the military reminds me of a good war movie from 1987.

Full Metal Jacket intro scene (rated 17+ due to heavy language from rude drill sergeant):

Many of us voted for Romney in 2012. He was our choice, against Obama.
But Romney blew it in his final debate with Obama.
It looked to many of us like he 'threw' the debate to Obama.
It was a very bad debate for Romney.
And he didn't win the election.

Romney is retiring. He's done now.
