Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) once referenced North Korea to slam the conditions and lifespan of residents in Baltimore’s “poorest boroughs,” calling it a “disgrace.”
This comes in the wake of far-left politicians slamming President Trump over criticisms of House Oversight Committee Chairman Elijah Cummings (D-MD), who represents Baltimore’s district.
In 2016, Sanders slammed the conditions in Baltimore’s “poorest boroughs,” claiming that residents have “lifespans shorter than people living under dictatorship in North Korea.”
. . .
What is good for the goose........
The lack of criticism about Bernie's comments is deafening......
That is a misrepresentation. Sanders was stating statistics to the audience for the sake of calling for change. He ended with these words..
"We are talking about the United States of America in the year 2016 -- a country in which the top one tenth of one percent now owns almost as much wealth as the bottom ninety percent.
In this country we going to make profound economic changes. The people on top will not continue to accumulate billions of dollars in personal wealth while children in Baltimore and inner cities in this country go hungry, and have inadequate healthcare and education."
