Never heard about that. Can you give some details? With Black men , Trump won a lot of votes by making key reforms to the criminal justice system which seems to discriminate against them. So they had good solid reasons to vote for Trump
Antifa is no option for government, not a few of them are anarchists in the sense that they want a world without state and government altogether. So thinking of them as an "alternative" to a government is out of question, even from their perspective.I did not articulate that very well. Antifa are rebels and I have experience of them here in Germany also burning cars and injuring policemen. They are a bunch of idiot rebels and they do not present a serious alternative to anything. Even regarding racism they probably only succeed in turning peoples backs up. The big geopolitical issues like the rise of China, immigration, global economics and health care in the age of Pandemics are not issues that they can be taken seriously on.
You mean, he did not want black renters because other could rate his houses cheaper because of them?My house price is not deflated in the slightest by having some Turkish neighbours. But in the USA where the Black crime rate, drug usage, divorce rate and health issues are a degree higher than with white community. Unscrupulous businessmen will discriminate against less profitable clients. That is selfishness which helps to perpetuate racism.
I suppose there is even another lecture to him. Trump got out of some difficult situations just by "chutzpah", answering accusations with counter-accusation, hiring the best lawyers (some of them defendants of mobsters) and going tom courts ... "Breaking" news on CNN: Trump is discontent with the performance of his legal team. He has to learn that there are limits to what a legal team can do.Well he is about to find out that genes do not guarantee victory.
But is style of "negotiating" is so much un-Asian that he did archive nothing but a trade-war which he did not win (the best that could be said is that he did not lose it).Trump for all his faults did hold China to account for its abuses of the international trading system, stealing of intellectual property and spying.
Yes, lets hope for the best.I hope Biden is not too nice to carry on this good work. Of course he can fight for American interests without insulting everybody in the process. China is a rival not a friend though.
China has turned into a sort of Neo-colonialist country, smaller states (even Greece to some extend) are the victims of that (though, as with "classic" colonialism, there are some benefits from the modernization included in the colonization). For bigger players, as USA or EU, China is a rival and should be treated as such.
As to "Europe", I think you don't mean countries like Bulgaria or Russia ... But even when we restrict to Western Europe or so, I find it difficult to come to an overall judgement. People tend to weight aspects differently, and most naturally the heavier weighted points are those that one tries to perform best. So, is pro-life and morality in questions of sexuality more or less important than social justice? As to God's view, Lk 12:47-48 must also taken into consideration. We should take care not to say anything like "Thanks God, we are the better guys".In regard to doing Christianity, I think Europe is better.
I spoke about Gerrymandering. This is no inherent feature of the system, it is twisting the system. I attach a screenshot from "Die Anstalt" (maybe you know this satiric magazine in the ZDF tv program). It shows six selected voting districts, which are a result of the "redmap" program. They are a lot of good things enshrined in the quirkiness of the American electoral system including a protection of the balance between rural and city constituencies. The cities would dominate without that. Reform is probably impossible without breaking the good things also.
One could set up rules, e.g. a voting district should be geographical connected and not spread around in pieces, or some mathematics on the ratio of area and (square of) border length, or widest and shorter "diameter" or so. Or try to bind voting boundaries to administrative boundaries as close as possible. This would reduce the amount of gerrymandering possible.
