I don't remember Jonah repenting , or Scripture saying he did.
... or where was it - who was under the shade of a bush/plant/gourd/tree , upset that he was bothered/sent to the people, ?

Well Jonah went , and if humanity requires more information, you will have to Ask Jesus about that. I DIDNT REQUIRE MORE iNFO.. I JUST KNOW THAT WHEN YOU ARE HIS PROPHET AND HE SENDS YOU , WE SURE BETTER GO!
But when Jonah when faced with the options of facing the Ninavites or going swimming again had a change of heart and mind and thus decided not to go swimming . I have no reason to question the fact that he had a turn around in his soul.


I also recently heard an indepth study into how the story of Jonah is really about Jonahs racism and unforgiveness against a very cruel people Dealing with 500 year old Native American and European unforgiveness and long held animosity , but the parallels of European cruelty and Ninovites cruelty is really interesting and what we learn from Jonah about obedience and a kind of forgiviness.. Either way racism and unforgivness or cruelty will not be welcome traits in the next age. But there sure is an interesting parallel there.

I would speculate that Jonah repented along with the Ninavites. I heard somewhere that Jonah's skin was different from the whales stomach juices due to the kind of fish it ate, so he glowed. That must have been something like Moses glowed from being in the presence of God's glory. What else would convince the entire nation to so thoroughly repent?.. Jonah's charming attitude toward them? When they saw him and he announced I'am here because God sent me.. they could've thought that he must be an angel. He certainly impressed them deeply that's for sure.
