Well Jonah went , and if humanity requires more information, you will have to Ask Jesus about that. I DIDNT REQUIRE MORE iNFO.. I JUST KNOW THAT WHEN YOU ARE HIS PROPHET AND HE SENDS YOU , WE SURE BETTER GO!I don't remember Jonah repenting , or Scripture saying he did.
... or where was it - who was under the shade of a bush/plant/gourd/tree , upset that he was bothered/sent to the people, ?
But when Jonah when faced with the options of facing the Ninavites or going swimming again had a change of heart and mind and thus decided not to go swimming . I have no reason to question the fact that he had a turn around in his soul.
I also recently heard an indepth study into how the story of Jonah is really about Jonahs racism and unforgiveness against a very cruel people Dealing with 500 year old Native American and European unforgiveness and long held animosity , but the parallels of European cruelty and Ninovites cruelty is really interesting and what we learn from Jonah about obedience and a kind of forgiviness.. Either way racism and unforgivness or cruelty will not be welcome traits in the next age. But there sure is an interesting parallel there.
