I've just ebanned a member that had 55 posts...
This porn posting troll waited until he had the required 50 posts to begin posting his nasties...

However by using the eban feature, the remainder of his posts had to be manually deleted...or via the admin cp...well I did it manually as I don't have access to the admin cp...

That leaves no play room on the "newer" "smarter" porn troll...adn can eventually lead to DB crash...

can we either move the Eban post limit to 100 or lower teh image post count limit to 30 or 40 to allow us the leeway to spot these guys and still do an effective eban?

Thanks

I agree re the 100 post limit. 50 is too small and too quick to make 50 posts before being noticed.

I have another issue:
Ebanned 2 members today - both via the ModCP. The first member I was going to use the Delete posts as spam feature - but the first dialog box indicated two (2) member's posts would be affected by the ban - the one I was banning (kawaiiiiii) and another member with over 5,000 posts (Radhead). So I elected to use the ModCP to ban and then deleted posts (not as spam) from their profile afterwards.

The second member I ebanned was The_Master. Banned him from the ModCP only because I was in there, checking his profile/registration info. Because he had 73 posts, I went to his profile and thought I'd use the "delete all posts as spam" feature to get all 73 posts in one swoop. But Radhead's name came up again as a member who's posts would also get deleted.

I checked Radhead's registry info and it didn't match either of the members who I'd ebanned. And Radhead's name didn't come up on the IP check I did for The_Master.

Radhead is a member in good standing - so I'm unsure why his name was shown above.

Oh, I have no idea.

The existing system just "hides" posts. They still exist.

The new system will soft-delete them, but 50+ posts should not be a problem. However, I can see it being server extensive being used on users with thousands of posts (though I don't see why that would ever happen ... )
