  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Yeah I know. I've posted alot of songs from EWF here. That's because I think that they're the best R&B/Funk band around. Founder Maurice White, his bassist brother Verdine, Philip Bailey; who possesses a four-octave range in his voice; and drummer/vocalist Ralph Johnson grouped together with guitarists Al McKay and Johnny Graham; keyboardist Larry Dunn; saxophonist Andrew Woolfolk; and drummer Fred White (yes, he is related to Maurice and Verdine); and the Phoenix Horns to create some of the best music of the pop era. Today, Verdine, Philip, and Ralph front the next generation of top young musicians in the current incarnation of EWF. In addition, EWF has just released their twenty-third album:Illumination. Your thoughts.

I just picked up the 2004 Chicago/EWF concert DVD and I must say one word about it...

...AWESOME!!!!

Here's why. Put two great horn bands together like that and you get an incredible show. Philip Bailey singing lead on "If You Leave Me Now" does justice to the song. Not to mention the current incarnation of EWF seems to be sounding very good. And leave it to Verdine White to pull off his usual stunts. He's pushing 55 and still bouncing around the stage. Incredible.
