A lot of creationists seem to disregard 1 Timothy 6:20:
O Timothie, keepe that which is committed to thy trust, auoyding prophane and vaine bablings, and oppositions of science, fasly so called:
and believe in heliocentrism.
Let's examine from a scriptual view:
O Timothie, keepe that which is committed to thy trust, auoyding prophane and vaine bablings, and oppositions of science, fasly so called:
and believe in heliocentrism.
Let's examine from a scriptual view:
This verse is very important for proving the flat earth theory. God laid the foundations on something? What did he lay the foundations on? Genesis 1:2 and Genesis 1:6 gives us that answer:Psalms 104:5:
Who laid the foundations of the earth, that it should not be removed for ever.
This means the earth was created on the deep waters but it did not have a form or shape.Genesis 1:2:
And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
The firmament was the "earth" and it finally took "shape" and was no longer void. It separated the waters from below the "earth" and above the "earth".Genesis 1:6: And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.
Notice God said "dry land" instead of just "land". The land was already created, the dry portion of it "appeared".Genesis 1:9: And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.
This proves the earth does not spin or orbit any planet/star. This is proof for geocentrism.Psalms 93:1: The LORD reigneth, he is clothed with majesty; the LORD is clothed with strength, wherewith he hath girded himself: the world also is stablished, that it cannot be moved.
Psalms 104:5:
Who laid the foundations of the earth, that it should not be removed for ever.
A circle is a circle and a sphere is a sphere. A circle can have four corners...but a sphere cannot!Isaiah 40:22:
It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in:
