  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Lets have a thread showing where free or inexpensive Reformed e books can be found.

I saw this on Twitter today and downloaded it for my Kindle app.

“There can be no grace when there is no sovereignty. Deny God’s right to choose whom He will and you deny His right to save whom He will. Deny His right to save whom He will and you deny that salvation is of grace. If salvation is made to hinge upon any desert or fitness in man, seen or foreseen, grace is at an end.”

Excerpt From: Bonar, Horatius. “Treasures of Bonar.” Chapel Library, 2012.

Another free eBook worth reading.

If/when my Kobo Touch bits the dust I might consider a Kindle. I like the e-Ink on Kobo. Does Kindle offer something like that? Where the screen looks like paper?

I would go with a Nook HD+ or similarly priced tablet, one that is compatible with the kindle app on Google Play store. With the right app(s), I can nearly read any type of document on my Nook HD that I can read on my PC.

The ones I linked to at WTS store, are DRM free, making them flexible for different devices.

The most amazing app, is the Logos app, you should see the library I've downloaded to my ghetto tablet!

Do you hoard or read? I tend to hoard all kinds of books but read only a fraction. With physical books...I read more.

More of a hoarder for now, but plan on being more of a reader someday when I have more time. I'll never read all the books I have, couldn't do it with three lifetimes on earth, maybe if I lived as long as Adam. lol

I was given a new Kobo eReader today by a fellow co-worker. She was frustrated with how many steps it took to add books and gave it to me. It's the mini.

Kobo Mini

I thought that was pretty cool.
