If you want to take it literally, wouldn't it mean Adam was God's son, the same way Enos was Seth's son and Cainan was Enos's? Then again the bible say Jesus was God's only begotten son, so it can't be talking about Adam literally being God's son.

Not just rested, the LORD was refreshed after his rest.
Exodus 31:17 It is a sign forever between me and the people of Israel that in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested and was refreshed. So yes, scripture shows us God was tired after six days hard work creating the universe and was refreshed after he had a rest, either that or it isn't speaking literally, it is an anthropomorphism.
