Ever since i started playing the Drums in my church band i really feel like the spirit is moving within me because now i think I'm doing what HE wants me to do in my church and i love it so much because i know I'm pleasing God. It's also so encouraging when people come up to you after a service to congratulate you.

I am not a drummer, but I really appreciate the drummers in our worship band, particularly the "bongo man". He has a great ear for the prophetic and is very sensitive to what the Lord is doing all throughout worship. I often cue him when I feel the Lord stirring my spirit to sing prophetically.

I love drums - they really lift and enervate me when I'm using the flags. Our regular drummer, Phil, is so good I can really tune into him and make moves in accord - fast drumming, cymbals, you name it - it all gets expressed when I'm using the flags.

I hasten to say, it took me ages - almost a year - to get to speak with him at all and I was then amazed to find that he was totally self taught and had never played anywhere but our worship team! It was his mother that told me how intensely he's worshiping when he's on the drums. I think that's just fantastic!

But then I think all our worship team are fantastic!

I'm a bass player, and i appreciate the drums so much! When you can find the pocket and hit that groove your bass drum and the bass guitar kinda for a third instrument! Congrats on the drumming bro'! Oh, and communicate with your bass player! It will help you to find that groove!

I am also a drummer and I love it when the Spirit guides my playing and I love it when the Spirit moves in the rest of the worship team as well as the church during worship!!!
