  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

The problem is my insurance will not cover especially since my doctor said my seizurs are under control. I'm so confused, many have said this is a sin I committed or my mother and since I'm taking pills that I have abandoned god. Do u know how hard that is. I prayed to god every night to have the illness taking way and after not taking it, I had seizures. Was I not strong in my faith? Should I stop and pray again but than I remember something I asked God if my seizure aren't from sin and taking medince is not a sin than dear lord god look after me has I take my pills.
Do you have ebay where you are at? Red/ infrared no more than 5 min per treatment.

I've gotta ask this to the thread:

Would you seriously let your own child die at the hands of a treatable illness and requires the use of modern medicine?

Of course it's easy to say "It's a sin, I wouldn't take that!".... but what of your own child? Would you condemn them to die? The child that Yahweh gave to you as a gift? Throw it away because of a sickness? Because sometimes prayer sometimes isn't always answered in the form of recovery?

No, I don't think Yahweh would expect parents to let their child die. "Thou Shall Not Kill" comes to mind. Preventing treatment is equal to murder, even if it's indirect (Fact is, many parents have been thrown in jail for preventing treatment and hoping prayer would work.). Any parent that would condemn their child to death would have to come up with a really good explanation at judgement time, and I doubt yelling "medicine is from Satan!" would count.

Yahweh gave you a give - a child. Genetically, that child is of your blood, but spiritually, the child is a child of Yahweh's. He gave you that child to take care of and give them the best chance in living in this world. Preventing treatment is the total opposite, and, in a way, it's like saying "I don't want the gift, take it back!".

N E,

I do not see that Silver B. has done anything terrible, at least not yet. You have been here 2 months and 7 days, was there a putch? I find your rebut, as above, rather rude and, also, you do not necessarily speak nor hold the opinions of all of us. As a born Jew I find your reply rude and inhospitable, a trait not too Jewish. This is only the internet.

Personally, since May 5, 2010, I have undergone some 14 surgeries and taken related prescriptions in order that my last years may be as something other than a total vegetative cripple. I am glad you, N E, were not around for any of it.

You gentiles, sometimes, never cease to amaze me. Try a little charity, you may need it extended your way some day.

A simple PM to me would have sufficed if you thought I was rude and inhospitable, and would have been appropriate, since I am your brother. Instead, you have chosen to ignore the instruction of Messiah: "If your brother sins, go and show him his fault in private...". So I will answer you in public also.

Yes, it is "only" the internet. But we should take our words that we write and the words of our brethren just as seriously as when we are face-to-face with someone. As Messiah stated, we will be held accountable for our words one day: "I tell you that every useless word that men shall speak they shall give and account of in the Day of Judgment".

How long I have been on this forum is irrelevant. Longevity or lack thereof does not make anyone more or less right or wrong.

I was not attempting to speak for anyone else. A Christian non-member was not only attempting to teach on this forum, which is against the SOP, but was attempting to make judgments and insinuations that one of us was bound to refuse our children medical treatment and we would be murderers. This did upset and anger me, and I believe justifiably so. The comments that he made were wrong, and were taking the thread I started somewhere I did not want to see it go.

Your statement that you are a "born Jew", and therefore you find something rude is just wrong thinking. I will say no more.

As to this statement of yours: "You gentiles, sometimes, never cease to amaze me."-- I'm really dumbfounded. A statement like that has so much negative, unscriptural baggage attached to it. I can only say that I hope and pray you will be moved to re-read and learn what the New Testament really teaches about the current equality of Jew and Gentile believers, both in the eyes of YHWH, and in the assembly and in Messiah.

As far as your illness, I am truly sorry my brother to learn of your suffering that you are going through. Regardless of our minor disagreements, I am at the same time moved with compassion for you. I will try to remember you when I pray and ask YHWH to comfort you in your affliction.
