When I have a school dream it involves me escaping. Had one recently where I was escaping from some dystopian society.

My dreams have been weird and hard to describe. I think dreams are often close to the world of spirits.

I still have dreams about public school and my old real-life friend even though I haven't seen either one in eight years and don't think about them much anymore. Sometimes things must stay in our minds more than we realize.

If you pay attention you will see that dreams often have stuff in them from what you recently expierence, though i don't think that is all they are. It seems our brain records more than we realize.

I told this dream to a mentor at the Pentecostal Church I'm at. He had some interesting things to say.

Did you agree with his interpretation? Have you sought the Lord’s insight?

Before this church, I was pushing my limits in an attempt to be more like a normal person. It went well for a while but I eventually burned out and was an absolute mess by the time I sought out an actual church.

You are you. Being someone else will never feel right. You may have challenges others don’t but they usually bring insight that many lack.

I learned a lot about compassion when I was ill. I remember the neighbor who sat with me and fed my daughter because I was too weak. My co-worker used to carry my lunch tray. At one point I was too weary to go get the food. She’d go to the cafeteria and look at the menu and come back to take my order.

I wanted to be normal. I was in my twenties. My body was going haywire. I had to give up my pursuit of medicine and find something else. It broke my heart but I finally accepted it after a while.

Wanting to be strong was the worst. I know you understand. I had a lot of help. But I wanted to do things for myself. I would never ask. They just did it anyway.

Sometimes I felt like an invalid. It took nearly 20 minutes to walk a block. I think if I’d always been ill I would have learned to cope. But having it arrive out of the blue pushed me to the brink.

God used my broken body to teach me how to receive from others. I didn’t want to be pitied but they pitied me because I wouldn’t ask for help. I kept pushing myself to be something I wasn’t at that time. And it was hurting me physically.

My partners helped me make peace with the challenges. They helped me to see the life I could have. Even if I never did the things I wanted to. And for an overachiever that’s hard to swallow.

When I stopped trying to be that person and began to accept the person I’d become in spite of the hardships and setbacks (there were plenty). I started to see what possible. And I focused on building my esteem on something solid. Not a career or achievements.

I dove into a lot of self-help materials and they helped a lot. But I couldn’t have done it alone. God was there (I didn’t realize it) and He was ministering to me through friends and strangers.

I don’t know the whole of your circumstances. But I’ve walked that road. And I sense that letting go and working within your capacity and celebrating the wins—big and small—is the right approach.

In my situation, I am on the autism spectrum and the best explanation I can give for it is that it's a disorder that makes you crap at everything you do except for a handful of things you're obsessed about and it makes everyone else think you're a piece of garbage.

Autism hadn’t hit the headlines when my daughter was young. We knew of it but doctors were fixated on over medicating kids for ADHD at the time.

It was a hard life.

Of course it was. But when I see someone like Joni Eareckson Tada I’m encouraged to keep pressing. I have a conception of time I didn’t have before. And I’m trying to make the most of it. To milk every moment that I can. Cause I’ve known days when I didn’t see the sun save through a glass pane. So I try.

Since joining CF and this church I'm at, I no longer feel pressured to achieve more than what I am capable of.

I’m glad you’re in the company of loving people. That makes a difference. They are holy kisses from up above.

I am in a better place now. God is good and I need to pursue real life instead of the internet for human connection. Since doing that, I'm a lot happier now.

That is a testament to His faithfulness and a blessing beyond compare.

If you are genuinely happy and satisfied with your own life, then you have already won.

I have enough and I’m content. He’s given me His presence, purpose, and restored my health. It is enough. I have all I need.

I had a dream the other night that I was flying some sort of aircraft/spacecraft in Jupiter's atmosphere. I was alone in the craft. It was night but as I flew and got lower in the atmosphere, where it was almost as thick as Earth's, the Sun came up in the Jovian sky. I was flying between two large cloud bands and the sky was a deep blue. I could see the Galilean moons of Io and Europa. Both were thin crescents and Europa was especially bright. I felt the engines push me back in the seat as Jupiter's powerful gravity pulled at me. Within the bands I could see flashed of lightning and boiling and swirling clouds. I saw what looked like a rainbow in the distance and wondered if it was water vapor. As the craft climbed higher the sky got darker and eventually, I could see stars as I went into space to join a larger ship to go back to Earth. Still in the sky were bright crescents of Io and Europa, but now in the blackness of space. I no longer felt Jupiter's gravity as I was weightless and now in low orbit.

Recently I've been repeatedly dreaming that I'm in a store shopping, and in most of those dreams I'm looking for a Silver plushie and/or Pokemon figures I don't have. I can understand it because I DO go shopping often in real life and I AM looking for those items in real life, but why do I dream about that so much?

Usually in those dreams I find the Silver plushie, but in last night's dream I looked everywhere but couldn't find one. Also, the Pokemon figures I find in those dreams are usually pretty strange-looking. Last night's dream also involved a guy playing with his pet rabbit in the store and the rabbit kept jumping into my arms...that was kind of odd but also cute. The store had a section that was outdoors and another that looked somewhat like a house.

Recently I've been repeatedly dreaming that I'm in a store shopping, and in most of those dreams I'm looking for a Silver plushie and/or Pokemon figures I don't have. I can understand it because I DO go shopping often in real life and I AM looking for those items in real life, but why do I dream about that so much?

Usually in those dreams I find the Silver plushie, but in last night's dream I looked everywhere but couldn't find one. Also, the Pokemon figures I find in those dreams are usually pretty strange-looking. I had a dream involving shopping yesterday, too.

Except the key point of interest was that the mall I was roaming through seemed to be literal miles in length ... and I was gliding along on ice skates, and no one cared.

I had a dream last night that I was live streaming myself playing Diablo II for money and my mother called me in the middle of a game session to do something for her.

That would be pretty embarrassing in real life. It's definitely something my mother would do.

I went to my friend's house. Just like in the past, he had people there, except I didn't know any of them. They wanted me to do something on my phone and I had all these cheap phones that couldn't do it lol. Later I'm sitting by this woman. Apparently, she is the event photographer, and she starts taking pictures that nearly blind me. Some other girl sits by her and we're suddenly in this VR game where in the game, we're sitting together in a flying contraption like you see at a fair but not hooked to anything, swinging these long swords to deflect arrows from hitting us.

I remember dreams better if I went to sleep, was up for a while, and went back to sleep.

This time I catch a ride. Need to get home and I assume it's a cab. I jump in the back and after they bring the other person to their destination, I plan to tell them where I live. Turns out, it isn't a cab. They are together and they stop at a construction site. When they find out about me the woman who acts like a leader says they should take me somewhere. For whatever reason, I trust her. As if I know she would never wrong me. I jump into a larger vehicle with her and her people. Her friends though are rude and taunt me. One was another woman.

I wake up in my room and hear someone giggling where I can't see them. It is not a very threatening sound. If this was a supernatural being, it seemed more trickster than dangerous villain. As an aside, I think I hadn't really woken up when I heard the noise but was in a dream of my room before properly waking up.

I often dream I am stuck in a hospital, or a large library. For some reason I constantly dream of malls and movie theaters. Weird.

Except lately I've been dreaming I'm too late to school & miss math class!
