dream

hi there

i have prayed to ask God to speak to me in my dreams, and just give me something... I recently broke up with my fiance, we've been together for 12 years, and I was supposed to move to his town etc. which no leaves me without a plan, without anything. I am in limbo, and do not know what to do.. that is why I asked God.
Well, last night, i had a dream, in the dream, i went to see my favourite teacher from school days, and asked him for help regarding my career hence forth. He basically gave me a warm big hug, and handed me some yellow posty notes, with plans written on it... Here is the catch, I could only read two of them, then i woke up bcos my mom went to the bathroom (im a light sleeper and wake at anything making a noise). I then asked God to let me return to sleep, and continue the dream, but i could barely fall asleep again... I hope that He does continue the dream for me... Im trying to make sense, if it is just a dream - or if He is trying to tell me something by it...

It's my experience that the Lord knows exactly when we will wake up and this dream is most likely all you were suppose to receive at this time. I'm seeing from the symbolism that God is reminding you of a call on your life. Sticky notes are used most often to remind ourselves of something. The Lord seems to be reminding you of His plans for you and I believe He wants you to start seeking Him seriously in regards to what you should do to get into that plan He has for you. I also believe the fact that you feel you woke up before knowing more is a confirmation that He wants you to seek Him more regarding the plan He has for your life.

Thanks for those wise words MastersPiece! I can appreciate the reference to sticky notes, i have not interpreted it that way, but it does make sense. I thought it has some reference to the fact that I use stickies at work.
I will keep seeking God to give me guidance and wisdom in this regard.

ps. I checked your profile and see that you are from canada. im from south africa. im due to visit canada (toronto) in june. it is for my mba - i think we are going to visit some businesses there. i am looking forward, as i have never been!

yes God uses symbolism & metaphors in our dreams to speak to us and give us messages. Keep seeking His will for your life and I believe He will show you much more.. also it's great that you're inviting Him into your dreams and dedicating them to Him. He obviously has a plan for your life. Oh.. I forgot to add that the colour yellow can often symbolize knowledge, this fits into the interpretation
Toronto in June will be beautiful - make sure to go to the waterfront areas - they are lovely.

I just remembered that the acronym NEAT was written on one of the sticky notes. I tried to interpret it, but I am not sure...
I do not want to go into much detail, but my ex is in nuclear energy, and I am a programmer. I thought that it might mean something like Nuclear Energy and Technology - but I'm not too sure. Surely our paths will never meet again, he cheated and repeatedly lied about it.
I remember that my teacher said that it was a programme I can initiate to some company....

I would definately say regarding your mate.. One day at a time.. when you see obstacles or delays.. Thank God and let Him know you Know He will Work it out... Patience in all Good things.. while God works things out on both sides...
