"Ayooohah!" Ragnarock howled in at his opponent, and was in his wolf form before you could blink. Without a moment's hesitation, Ragnarock tackled his nightmarish foe to the ground and snarled in its face. In all his battle excitement, Ragnrock was a bit restless, and the nightmare got lucky.
THe black feind's claw landed a blow against Ragnarock's shoulder, and kicked the wolf of of itself. Ragnarock growled nastly, a certain look of death in his eyes. The shadow-like freak merely smiled in response, showing a similar look in his own eyes.
WIthout a word, the two combantonts circled each other, this was clearly a battle of pride for Ragnarock; it would be his first nightmare kill...Faster then the light reached any onlooker's eyes, Ragnrock lunged at the nightmare, his teeth took hold of the nightmare's shoulder, and before his opponent could make a counter attack, he slammed him to the ground, beting im savegly with his powerfully buit front paws.
But, this was Ragnarock's first nightmare battle, and he certainly was one who had Lady Luck on his side, so the nightmare showed yet another one of its devious tricks; while Ragnrock was attempting to subdue it, the Nightmare morphed into a shodw, and melted into theground, gliding along the earth until he was behind Ragnarock.
When his paws fell through the Nightmare's shadow body, Ragnarock was off balance for just a few seconds, but that was enough time for the nightmare to make its move. It leaped on to the wolf, attempting to crush his wind pipe; unfortunatley, Ragnarock was a werewolf (or Wolfman, as he prefers it), so only the natural weapons of supernatural beasts (the reason why Ragnrocks shoulder wound didn't heal quickly) magic and fire would slow his healing process to only slightly abouve normal for a wolf, (while silver, obviously, he could not heal, on his own, at all), thus, the Nightmare's pyhsical efforts were futile, and when Ragnrock finished morphing into a form of mostly wolf, slightly human (just enough to make his front paws more like arms), he was able to flip the freakish, unnatural creature onto its back, and break its neck.
Ragnarock stayed still for a few sconds, going over the battle in his mind, trying to calm himself and reflect over it, but hte bloodlust was still in his eyes. A low growl could be heard around him, but it certainly wasn't threatining.
"Dirty things those nightmares are...I will not be taken unnexcpected next time...Aaron, do they typically travel in small packs, such as these, or large hordes? I would like to test my might against a few other nightmarish creatures..."
