  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

All I wanted to do was please God, but I still messed my life up and missed His plans. Now they're gone forever and I know that my life will never be as good as it could have been. I am like one of the Israelites who missed the chance to enter Caanan and now like them, I'm going to die without seeing it. Yes, God has said to me that He longs to be gracious to me, but I know it will always be less.

what happened that would make you want to take your life by the end of summer? if all you wanted to do was please God then that is already one of the best things you could ever want.

how could you even judge if you made a mistake or not. it is hard to understand what God does for us. usually when God tells his saints something they don't understand it to the depths God wants them to but later on they start to understand. for instance God told saint francis to repair his broken down church that saint francis was in. so he started to repair that building. God has something better in mind though i'm sure God was enjoying anything that francis did if he was doing it with innocence.

God is love...yes, and that is why Jesus died for us...he knows we always are going to let him down...remember how Peter denied his Lord 3 times?

All you have to do is confess to the Lord everything and be prepared to received his complete forgiveness, yes he really loves you that much.

I pray for you, that you will feel the peace and love of the Lord as you come to him in repentance.

May the Lord bless you richly

If you want to do the Lord Jesus will; that's all He asks of you; be willing; He has many plans for you that you can't see right now; He can make new plans for you because "what is impossible with man, is possible with God" Luke 18:27.

Even if things in life don't work out like you think they should have or even if you fall short of what God 'had' planed; as long as you stay willing to do HIS will; you will attain what is important--The Kingdom of God--always acknowledge Jesus and His Salvation for your sins.

1 John 2:16 says:
"Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world. 17 And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever."

I am often down by things I see in this world. The promised land however, I believe, is with us all, in our heart not the world. Its not about great works or deeds, but is about Gods grace which is our strength, and hope, faith, love. Its never too late to find rest in those things. We just need to walk by faith not by what we see. Its already with us friend, don't give up.

Friend, I see one reader interpreted this as you saying you were about to take your life??? I did not see that, but rather thought you were just saying there is no forgiveness for the rest of your life here.

Let me assure you that God allows for our failures, for that is the course of all men; and He ever seeks to help us overcome our flesh and the lies of Satan which trouble us, as Satan works to draw us away from God. Do you know God, and His beloved Son ---the Lord Jesus Christ? Salvation and eternal blessing is found in Christ, and if one has received the Lord Jesus into one's heart, they are "born again" and sealed as a "child of God". Have you received the Savior? A saved soul can and should confess our sins daily to be honest before God (please read 1 Jn. 1:9-10 as God's mercy for His saints).

Write me, dear friend, if you would like to speak further on this, and let me invite you to see the very sound site at www.biblecounsel.net to learn God's mind for His testimony in the world. One can ask questions there.
