Don't know what your calling, purpose, gifts are?

In 30's now and still don't know what my gifts or calling is. My job, I just do it because it pays, it's not something I have passion in, I don't really have any true passion for any jobs that I can think of, or know of any specific gifts I have. I kinda envy people that know what their gifts and purpose is because it has to feel nice to get up in the morning to pursue that even if it's hard rather then never knowing. Any tips?

I don't excel in anything and don't love anything besides my family and God, and my time NOT at work, and eating food.

Welcome to CF. Sometimes we are unaware of our gifts. Be patient and walk in His Holy Spirit daily.

This kind of reminds me of a conversation about the last days, and the mark of the beast. If someone studies and prays and becomes convinced of just what the mark of the beast is, and even if, when confronted with it, that person recognizes it for what it is, what makes that person think that if his life is one of disobedience that he will even be ABLE to avoid the mark?

So with your question: God has told us what we are to do, and even how to do it; pursuing your 'gift' is not included in that instruction, as such. Pursue Christ, and his righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you.

Ask your friends or family what your gifts are - they may see what you're missing.

Your purpose is to love God, love your neighbor, seek to grow closer to Jesus by following his teaching, serve God by serving others, and share the good news at every opportunity.

I get the feeling you're doing a lot of that already.

Your calling is the same as every Christian. To live as a Christian before a God hating world.
Do your job for Jesus, you areserving him there so be the best at that job.

Spiritual gifts, try leading a daily time of family worship, volunteer to help where ver help is needed in your church.

It is far easier to steer a free wheeling car than one with thats stationary with the brake on.

Have you ever heard of the old adage, 'Wherever you go, there you are.'? God can use you no matter where you are or what you're doing. Perhaps your calling is simply to pray for your coworkers and those you interact with. Perhaps your calling is to be the person God puts in someone's path that day.
