Love the words of the word. Great encouragement.
Along the way, there have been promises, one in particular came by seeing something God showed me -a place. 40+ have passed. Yet God is faithful.
Abram recieved a promise and yet had much to live and do and learn, but God was faithful to His promise. These years learning, time itself cannnot remove His purpose to do what He said He would do, and all things heard from God he is faithful to accomplish. and Amen with Him.
Like David in the psalms I want to encourage my soul, "Hope thou in God" always..
I am thinking to look again, Abram, Moses, Esther (who spent 1 year being prepared to go before the King her husband. ) Elisha and Elijah, the younger in following the elder wanted a double portion of the annointing upon Elisha. (1 kings 19)
Persistent, Elijah! How many of the people of God both young and elder, found themselves in God's service.
Something to ponder..the preparing and the continuing , and God's time for His purposes.
This word means a lot to me:
1 Cor. 14 verse 26:
How is it then brethren? when ye come together, every one of you (every one of you!) hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying.
It always reminds me of the table that was laid at church , for a fellowship tea, a cloth only on it. Then all that came brought food to lay on it, and slowly the table was full of all good things, That was a beautiful day and a sight to see, all coming with what they had, we had a banquet and fellowship I could not describe just flowed. We all have.. God's word says so and I believe it!
~~~~ poured from my heart. God bless you. jean
