I turn 18 in a few days! Can't wait!

My daughter is 18 (the baby of the family!)....graduated this last May.
Some people think when this happens the parents are finally free - well if you're anything like her, she plans on staying right here forever....guess we spoil them too much!!!

Yes and I did when I was asked if we had fire or the wheel when I was a kid !! Sometimes I wonder how their little minds really do see us. My 5 year old grandson asked me just the other day my cracks would ever heal ( wrinkles ) and that was the week before he came to me and said, " MaMU, you're really old. " I asked him why he thought so and his reply was, " Well, I hate to tell you this but your skin is getting really thin. I can see your blood. " This left me speechless.

God Bless,

Well, I sure am an oldie.. but you know what? I wouldn't
want to be any other age. Some say they wish they were
30 again or whatever, but I would never want to go back.
LOL Am quite content and secure with my age. Besides,
age is only a number. But I DO wish that my body worked
like it was 30! LOLOL

I'm so much happier in my 50's than at any other point in my life. That's because I'm a 2 year old Christian. I spent most of my life fighting God; it is sooooo wonderful accepting his love and guidance.

This forum is great!

I love it 23 today. I mean 53 today :)

I love it so much I'll tell everyone I'm 54 tomorrow. LOL Figure that one out. :)

People have asked me before this question. "if you knew then what you know now, would you change anything?"

No - because I have to experience everything in life. No matter how happy or sad. They are all lessons to bring me in HIS presence. Keep me as HIS child.

Thank you LORD for 53 year so far. yeaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!

Hi, all you youngsters. No, I haven't got a beard and I feel just like I did when I was in my twenties - only better! For one thing you don't have to worry about keeping up with the fast track crowd. Here in U.K. I am living on the South Coast where the biggest danger is the way folk speed round corners on their buggies. The ninety year olds tell me I've a long way to go. I married an older woman of course - six weeks older - and next year will be our sixtieth wedding anniversary. Praise God, He's been so good to us

Congratulations Dandey and greetings from a 71 year old youngster on the south coast of Oregon USA. I married a kid. She's 17 years younger than I. Keeps me hopping. We've been married nearly 34 years.

Anyway.

Is anyone here "embarrassed" about being 50+ years old? Do you think people view you differently? Why?
Not one bit ashamed, tomorrow is my birthday in the natural. But March 6 is when I was born into the Kingdom, what is my age?
I use to tell my doctor when he would say something he didn't think I wanted to hear, well it beats the alternative;)
One of the things that has put age into perspective. God is the Ancient of days, and no matter how old I get on this earth, I am his little tiny child. The older I get the more I rely on him, the more I know that he renews my youth.
The second thing that has put age into perspective, is coming so close to death, and coming out completely miraculously healed. Age means nothing.
I am starting a new career, and I thank God for every day that he has granted me. :D

It's not that I'm ashamed, but...

I'm 56 and am the second oldest person in our department at work. That's not so bad, but there are about 20 people in our department about 15 of them are bunched together at 40-42. Plus, I was hired three years ago and am thus one of the newcomers to the deparment (there's not much turnover. We all love our jobs). I get along great with everyone, but it's amazing how often a reference will be made about something from my youth that they've never heard of or vice versa. Sometimes I feel out of touch and wish I too was in that 40-42 bunch. But, hey, I'd never really trade. Class of '65 was the best!
