That analogy is bad. It would be analogous to cutting the traces not destroying the hard drive, or RAM. It still exists.

There are multiple verses concerning damaging someone else's property in the Torah. None of it is good. There is however no specific prohibition against someone damaging your computer. Do you believe that would be a loophole in YHWH's law?
