Look at this, from chatgpt, and we can examine the sources:
The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) has implemented numerous projects worldwide to improve access to clean drinking water and sanitation services. These initiatives aim to enhance public health, reduce waterborne diseases, and promote sustainable water management practices. Safe Practices on Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (Safe-WASH) Project:
Objective: Improve access to drinking water and sanitation facilities, and promote good sanitation practices, personal hygiene, and kitchen hygiene.
Funding: $409,000
Impact: Enhances community health by reducing the incidence of waterborne diseases through improved water and sanitation infrastructure and hygiene education.

2. USAID IUWASH Tangguh Project in Indonesia:
Objective: Support Indonesia's commitment to providing safe drinking water and sanitation services for all.
Funding: $44 million
Impact: Aims to strengthen the capacity of local water utilities, improve access to clean water, and enhance sanitation services across Indonesian communities.

3. Water Supply System in Ethiopia's Somali Region:

4. Clean Water Access in Ghana's Northern Region:

5. Improved Access to Safe Drinking Water in Liberia:
Objective: Enhance service delivery of water resources at the community level.
Funding: USAID-funded initiative
Impact: Works in partnership with local government institutions and water service providers to support improved service delivery, allowing for more responsive and decentralized management of critical water resources.

This isn't exactly the kind of aid you just cut out of the blue. Waterborne illness kills even here in America. It could easily ravage 3rd world countries, and continues to do so every day.
Who is going to tell these people that their infant children will be ok drinking water with giardia in it? All because we were concerned about gay operas and couldn't figure a way to cut opera funding while still allowing money for drinking water?
If USAID funding remains frozen, or worse, if the agency is dismantled, people will die. This isn't some videogame or movie. This is real life. And there will be severe consequences unless funding continues.
