  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

My husband really raises the roof at night, so much so that we sleep in separate rooms. I say sleep, meaning just that, often starting off the night, and finishing off the night, together, LOL!!! His problem is chronic catarrh. Anyone else have a husband or wife who snores loudly?
YES! AND IT DRIVES ME INSANE!!!!!!!!!! If I fall asleep BEFORE him, no problem BUT if he's out before me -  I can't sleep -I get mad and sad at the same time but I know it's not his fault but it is SO frustrating when you're trying to go sleep. I have thought of ear plugs but can't do that b/c I have young babes that I need to be able to hear if they needed me in the middle of the night........:sigh:

ugh. My husband snores terribly, and whats worse, is he falls asleep as soon as he lays down and it takes me like 15 minutes. It drives me nuts. If it gets to bad I wake him up. He says it's mean, but I take that small opportunity to go to sleep really fast, before he can get back to snoring too loud.

Hey all-

On a not so light a note. Snoring can be a result of many things. It can be serious if it causes the snorer to not sleep well. IF the person has significant amount of daytime sleepiness the might want to be checked for other problems like sleep apnea. Sleep apnea is when the airflow in the throat is cut off periodically, and the person struggles to breath and frequently wakes slightly to move around and restore the airflow. This process can be hard on the circulatory system due to low oxygen levels. This is a treatable problem. It is more common in overweight people as is regular snoring.

As I said there are many reasons people snore. This is just one to think about because of the health concerns related to it. And chronic daytime sleepiness is not good on the highway either.

This is a serious condition and should be checked out especially if your partner appears to stop breathing in between snores!

I am amazed at how many folk here will put up with the snoring of their partner without moving into a different room, it was the only solution that work for me!

Have your grandbabies jump around on top of him, Tang. ;) That's my solution. :)

The snoring is terrible, but I hate sleeping alone. I have suggested to him it may be sleep apnea, as he is often tired all day, though a full night of sleep.

my hubby not only snores but he talks to. he talks about the most random things...and he snores as loud as a train. its rediculous...when we go back to baltimore were we are from we stay with his parents or my parents and when we stay with his parents...he snores and wakes up his dad and his dad a couple weeks ago when we were there shoves a sock in his mouth! it is so bad. i will kick him to make him stop. but when he talks i cant help but wake up and laugh because its so funny! he talks about bugs on his arm and flees on the baby, and how he swares he is awake but really he is sleeping.
the other night was a first he actually slept walked. we have a really big bed...it sits like 3 feet off the ground. he got up out of bed walked down the hall, into the babies room and fell asleep on the floor by the baby...it was the cutest thing. it woke my daughter up and she threw her blanky at my husband and said da da sleep...it was so cute!
