Didn't Christ come to free us from all those unChristlike actions? All those works of the flesh?
He certainly freed me from them....praise be to God !

We are not God! Isaiah 14:14 is a staunch warning!

There is no sin in Christ, so who are the sinners in?

Do we have eternal life now? If so, then why do we die?

The answer is that the Christian life is lived in the now and not yet. St. Paul says that we are, present tense, seated with Christ in heavenly places--and yet we are right here, on earth, in these mortal bodies.

We are seated with Christ on account of God's grace, with life everlasting in Christ; for that which is of Christ shall never pass away, but that which is perishing shall perish.

And so we look forward to the resurrection of the body on the last day, when this mortal shall put on immortality, and this corruptible puts on the incorruptible. For this age is perishing, and all the things of this age shall perish, but all which is reserved in Christ shall be saved. "For if the Spirit of He who raised Christ from the dead dwells also in you, then He who raised Christ from the dead will give life to your mortal bodies." (Romans 8:11)

We are in the now and not yet. At once saint and sinner. Both perishing on account of the flesh, and everlasting on account of Christ. Mortal in the present body, and immortal as it pertains to our hope in the resurrection.

If I did, you would just turn around and say I'm boasting. So let me put you to the test. Are your prayers answered? Only then can you have assurance. You don't need to answer, just search your own heart, as I do mine.

18 My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth. 19 And by this we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before Him. 20 For if our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and knows all things. 21 Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence toward God. 22 And whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do those things that are pleasing in His sight. 23 And this is His commandment: that we should believe on the name of His Son Jesus Christ and love one another, as He gave us commandment.

So you are rewarded by your works? Galatians 2 and Galatians 3... especially... Galatians 3:1-14

Test your own heart (I needs it)

The heart is deceitful above all things. Only 1 John 2:27 is my hope.

The Spirit builds our souls and softens our heart. What heart is so concerned with judgment of the flesh of those in Christ? What heart adds new prices to that which Christ paid for, in full?

If I did, you would just turn around and say I'm boasting.

No, I'd say you're lying.

So let me put you to the test. Are your prayers answered? Only then can you have assurance. You don't need to answer, just search your own heart, as I do mine.

My Lord and God Jesus Christ has taught me thus, "You shall not put the LORD your God to the test". But yes, the Lord, in His mercy, does answer my prayer. For He has taught me to pray,

"Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name, Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our sins even as we forgive others their sins. Lead us not into trial, but deliver us from evil. For Yours is the kingdom, the power, and the glory, forever and ever. Amen."

And I can say, with full confidence, God's kingdom comes, God's will is done on earth as it is in heaven. He has supplied us with food, drink, and bodily requirements. He has most assuredly forgiven me of all my sins. He keeps me, and preserves me through the tribulations of this life. And I can say, thanks be to Him to whom belongs kingdom, power, and glory forever and ever. Amen.

Test your own heart (It needs it)

"Judge not, that you be not judged. For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and with the measure you use it will be measured to you. Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when there is the log in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye." - Matthew 7:1-5

I'm not judging you. I'm telling you we all need to judge ourselves. And I gave you a perfectly sound test from the apostle John. I also told you. you don't need to tell me the results, as you wanted me to tell you.

We are not God! Isaiah 14:14 is a staunch warning!
Did Jesus do anything on that list?
Jesus isn't ashamed to call us brethren. (Heb 2:11)
Wouldn't Jesus be ashamed of someone who didn't feed the hungry or cloth the naked?
