Does the Bible teach that obedience is expected after salvation?

bro, you are wlecome to wake up wondering if you were obedient enough yesterday, and if you will be today....I can't wait for tomorrow to find out how good i do. I hope i don't blow it...
So someone tore 1John 1:9 out of your Bible...?

That is the great reset scripture for when we fail to live up to the obedience that we espouse. It is given so that we can resume the call to obedience, as needed. None who return to it retain any semblance of condemnation. (At worst, we feel a facepalm...)

1John 1:9 said:
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

Now, the point is, no one said to be disobedient, but that is not my center.

I have made great points on the thread.

Baptism, obedience, all of that, is not the highest goal, again, i gave examples of miltary guys, they can be obedeint too...so what? really, much to do about something that even unsaved do, they obey..gee...wow..what a goal, to be obedient...I can't wait for tomorrow to find out how good i do. I hope i don't blow it...

Great non answer.... that is what you are good at, non answers. In fact several times on this thread, no check that, every post you have made on this thread has been in stark opposition to those who espouse obedience as a way of living in Christ. If you are opposed to obedience then you embrace disobedience. There is no in between.

I fully agree, Michael.. I love all here, and Frog has a special place in my heart. I hope you know that, Froggy. I have requested the mods to close this post, and I certainly want to thank all who posted, and I mean that. Much information from the word of God has been shared, and it is app profitable for us. I just posted another thread, and in it, what I feel is the sum of the matter on HOW to obey. It is long, even for me, but I pray each pone who feels led read it start to finish. It is a fellowship thread, my first, and it is not that I shy away from opposition. It is just that since this new thread is a teaching thread on how to truly walk as an obedient child, I do not want to spend time defending what I am sharing. I did not make this a teaching thread however, since if there are any here who are interested in what I am sharing but may have questions needing to be answered, I wanted to make sure that they had an opportunity to ask away.

I love you all.

Romans Chapter 13

8 Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law. 9 The commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not covet,” and whatever other command there may be, are summed up in this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” 10 Love does no harm to a neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.
.
This passage begins with the statement let no debt be left outstanding, we know Paul speaks of the law as a debt .. it ends with Therefore, love is the fullfillment of the law. To examine this further .. Paul appears to be teaching in this very "law" oriented letter that by striving to not harm your neighbour .. it seems that you will fulfill the law .. and have no debt outstanding .. except for the continued debt to love one another. This may disagree with a lot of people's theologies .. but it certainly does resonate with what was said of the early church .. that they were known for their love for one another.
