Does the Bible address the concept of Evolution?

No. Your interpetation of what the Bible says said that, not God. You aren't placing your faith in God, your placing it in yourself, and assuming that you have the correct interpetation in blind defience of the evidence in God's creation.

Evolution is how God made man and woman, although it is not about how He created the universe. It does not address the question of whether He did it. You seem to be under the impression that evolution says that God did not create humanity; it says no such thing.

Humans are animals. Your parents were humans. You are geneticly different from your parents. Evolution has taken place.

What the bible says is great and all when it comes to salvation and whatnot, but when it comes to biological classifcations, I'll trust the biologists.

Which is all a theological statement about why we are here and our place in Creation, and you are treating it as a scientific statement about how we were made. Which is rather like taking the OT dietary laws and using them to replace all your cookery books. It completely misses the point and ends up in disaster.

None of these quotes contradicts evolution. It merely elucidates how God did these things.

You're still labouring under the misapprehension that if something evolved, it wasn't created.

A great analogy is the 'cabin' story.

Comming across a cabin in the woods, you go inside. You find a diary. The diary appears to have belonged to the cabin owner, but there isn't any way of being certain.

The diary has lots of information, with some areas quite detailed. What he ate, when he ate. Things like that. Survivallist information

Breifly touched upon was the construction of the cabin, and the description of this seems rather exagerated. Claims of one man carrying an entire tree, pulling it to peices with his bare hands, and shaping each part with his teeth.
Rather silly sounding really.

Even more so when you investigate the cabin itself, and the surrounding area. The wood the cabin is made of was prepared in a lumbermill. It even has the producton marks and labeling on it. There's a brochure about kitset cabins in a cuboard, along with a builders invoice.


The authour of the diary knew how to hunt, and prepare food in the area, but knew nothing about building, and had someone else do it for him, contrary to what his diary says.

So whats going to tell you the most about the cabin?

Think about what you are saying for a minute. We are made in His image, not neccessarly every one of our ancestors. What do you think "in His image" means anyway?

No. I don't see why you'd think that. Evolution does not say we were made by an animal. It doesn't say who we were made by; that role can be givent o God if our theology so dictates.

Why is it not possible for God to create us in His image (which must be a spiritual, not a physical image, for God is spirit, not flesh and blood) via an evolutionary process?

But none of the Christians here are saying they don't believe Genesis 1. They are just saying they don't interpret it the modernist-literalist way that you do, because it's not a modernist-literalist document, dating from thousands of years before modernism.

Because those different parts were written by different people at different times?
Can you honestly say you believe every word in the bible?
