It depends on who is asking. In my experience the only "open minded" people are liberals. So most of the time I simpily just equate them.

But really will I try new things? Yes I will if they come accross me but I don't typically go out of my way to try something new unless its on my list of stuff I'd like to try.

With the way that I understand the meaning of the word I would have to say no.
