Actually to be honest, that's just Doveaman. It's not a concerted effort.

What all the above have in common is that they all totally failed to convince the scientific community. The reason is simple. Take cartoon physics for example; it entertains the mind but has absolutely no value in the real world! Science is not faith based and does not allow for make believe. Religion is faith based and cannot be mixed with science; thus it is no use debating this issue.

Although what I do find hard to believe is when people not only object to current consensus science but espouse a whole bunch of bad science also - it seems to belie a general attitude of liking whatever science doesn't like, because what the person really hates isn't the scientific theories science agrees on but science itself.

Actually, science doesn't have the answer... yet. It will eventually, it's just a matter of time. It's a physical question, that ultimately comes down to better technology and research. In fact, our scientific knowledge is said to double every fifteen years! You and I may not be around for the answer, but there will be an answer at some point in time.

Well, first of all, my critical thinking has led me to conclude that I am not an ape, even though there are those who would seek to classify me as such, but because of my critical thinking I absolutely refuse to be classified as such.

Despite our similarity in DNA and bone structure, and whatever else, my critical thinking has led me to conclude that apes and I are the product not of a common ancestor, but of a common Designer, unless I am also to conclude that gorillas and the rest of the ape family are created in the spiritual image of God just as I am, and that all gorillas have sin and fall short of the glory of God just as I have, and that Christ died to save gorillas from their sins just as He did me, and that gorillas can now repent of their sins and have a personal relationship with Christ just as I do, and that gorillas will some day live in heaven for all eternity just as I will. If Atheists can reconcile heaven with gorillas, I might accept being an ape.

In the mean time, it is the scientists&#8217; (or whoever) prerogative to classify me however they choose, but it is also my prerogative to absolutely refuse to accept it. You can call me a pig because of our similarity in appearance and the way I eat, but, because of my critical thinking, I absolutely refuse to accept that I&#8217;m a pig.

The spirit of man enables us to think, to reason, to plan, to make decisions, to explore and understand the physical world we live in. Christians, non Christians, Scientists, and Atheists, we all are aware of the physical, material things we know because of the spirit of man within us. Thanks to God, of course.

However, there is also a "spiritual world", the world the Atheist do not know of and cannot know of as long as the Atheist choose to remain Atheist, the world that God lives in, and for us to be aware of, to explore, to think critically of, and to understand this spiritual world, we need a new Spirit that will enable us to do so, we need the Spirit of God, because &#8220;no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God.&#8221;- 1 Cor 2:11.

The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they [the thing of God] are spiritually discerned. &#8211; 1 Cor 2:14.

This is why the Atheist considers the Christian&#8217;s world view as &#8220;foolishness&#8221;; it is because the Atheist do not have the Spirit of God to give them spiritual discernment to even believe in God.

So we Christians understand why the Atheist are the way they are because we both have the spirit of man, but the Atheist do not and cannot understand why we Christians are the way we are because the Atheist do not have the Spirit of God to give them spiritual discernment, but we do.

However, the Atheist can have the Spirit of God if the Atheist genuinely repents of his or her Atheism, because it is God&#8217;s free gift to all men and women (not apes) who repent of their sins.

Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord...

Jumping to conclusions is generally a bad thing in any topic. Though I suppose if you're not going to pretend that your beliefs have any basis in, or correlation to, reality then it doesn't really matter what you do.
