People send them self to hell by rejecting God. Hell is being completely cut off from God. If people reject God they then get nothing from God, they are cut off after this life. Everything Good comes from God, So hell is place where everything bad is. It is a dumping ground and why Jesus compared it to one.

Well, does He?

This is a really easy question to answer; Does God throw people into hell? Yes or no?

The answer is yes. Observe:

Rev 20:14-15 Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. Anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire.

Seems pretty simple no? Why make a big deal out of this? There are no negative implications for God throwing people into hell, as doing so is merely God being just, which he is.

Trying to say "Well, God doesn't throw people into hell, but rather, they throw themselves there!" makes no sense to me and seems to be a pointless theodicy. We don't need to "get God off the hook" or make him appear "nicer". There is nothing wrong with the idea or concept that God dishes out justice and punishment. He is a consuming fire, after all.

I agree with both Bluelion and Skala.

Hell is both active punishment for sins, and the absense of God.

Sinners don't want to be in heaven. The things that heaven is most occupied with, sinners showed no concern for during their lifetime. Sinners instead want a place in the afterlife where they can pursue all of their favorite idols. This is their view of heaven. This place does not exist.

That said, I think what Skala says is much less common in our day and is therefore more needful. We should not shrink back from proclaiming God's truth, even when it may be unpopular.

Define "sinners".

And yet my statement is still true people put them selves in Hell. Its funny but we do not say this country produces criminals, but people chose to be criminals nor do we say America puts people in jail but people put there self there.

It is not getting "God off the hook " as you say, but rather putting the blame for the person going to hell where it deserves to be on that person. It is not God's fault they went to Hell.

Its written God is willing that not one soul be lost but all repent and be saved. God did everything He could to save the world, yet still people reject Him, So God is not sending them to Hell, they are choosing to go there. Is it God's fault we sin because He gave The Law against it?

I think people need to take responsibility for there choices.

have you read Psalm 91 lately?
Franky,
You err because the Bible from "In the beginning..." through the very last "Amen" of Rev. 22 is of one context and you appear to be isolating scriptures to reach your conclusions. It is this same practice that led Jim Jones to have peope drink the Kool-Aide and many other to practice heresy.

Praying for you.

Thank You My Brother,

Prayer is appreciated.

My conclusions? they are that God loved the world, His creation, so much that He sent Jesus to be the savior for each and every human being on earth.

God is love, Jesus said "When you have seen Me, you have seen the Father"

They had a false impression of the nature of God prior to Jesus coming to earth.

They were told by God over and over, that He did not desire their burnt offerings, but a broken and contrite heart is what He wanted of His people, but mankind, by nature, wants to prove he loves God by his works, which God says are worthless, filthy rags.

Couldn't God just change their hearts through regeneration?

So? A changed heart would love Him.

Have you ever had a crush on girl who did not feel the same about you, and no matter what you did she just did not think of you that way? i don't think you can force a person to Love you.

God does not want robots, if He did we would created them instead. He wants people to Love Him and serve Him because they Love Him. I have a computer I can make it do anything I want, but I do not get the same satisfaction when my computer obeys me that I get When my Sons listen to what I say and obey out of Love for me. Hence the free will.

Is there a purpose to this line of questioning? :)

Satan has robots, what ever satan puts in the mind of his children they must do. Robots are dead, God is life.
