Does God listen to and answer all prayers?

I love what a wise professor taught me. G_d answers all prayers. Yes, No, my son that would be bad for you, and the answer will come in its due time.

What is the difference in your god telling you no, and a god of wood and stone not responding at all? How would you be able to tell the difference? This is important since the bible spoke of the religious who thought they knew who they were serving, yet did not.

"You have not cause you ask not", and, I would add, you do not know what to ask for either...? (so as to get a yes)... Sometimes you have to wait for small children to grow up or mature, before you can say yes to some things that you couldn't do before that...

Immature ones are not really "asking" God, they are "demanding" of God (when they finally decide to speak to/with him, a lot of them) (things they should not as well a lot of the time, so sometimes he has to say "no" to those things), for if your to "ask" someone, there must be the open possibility of a "no", or you have to allow for a "no" or many "no's" sometimes, in a lot of cases...

I don't like your answer - not because you're not genuine in what you say but because:
What you are saying puts the failure for God to answer a prayer back on the person praying eg. I prayed for the life of my son but he died - therefore I must be a lousy Christian not good enough for God to help - Or, according to you, I didn't pray well enough so its all my fault - If I prayed well enough, the cancer in my child would have gone.

Well, I don't accept that. It means, using the example I gave before, that if the English soldier was killed and not the German, then the German soldier was a better Christian or better at praying - Again I do not believe that and in fact, I find it abhorrent to place such guilt on those who suffer a negative outcome

I'm sorry for your loss but I agree. Your son died because it was not in Gods will to save him. It was his will to call your son home assuming he was a believer. Idk how old your son was when he died. Anyway... It wasn't because you were a lousy Christian or you didn't pray good enough it was just because it wasn't in Gods will.

God is not a god of no's. He has everything and owns everything and it is his good pleasure to give you the kingdom.....

I feel that the only way you will get no answer (or get the optimistic "no") is if you are not asking correctly (Have not asked God to teach you how to pray) or if you are asking wood and stone....an image created in your mind.....

If we yet children and owned the world.....what could they ask for that we would not give? Even if we feel they shouldnt have it now....what would make you ignore the request outright?

It's not about the words, it's about what is "in the heart at the time", or what is "upon the heart at the time", and if your heart is "right alignment with God's will"... But, it's not about the words, or even posture or anything, not really...

You don't give the keys to the car to a young child, and you don't allow a toddler to cook whole means for the family on the stove and using the oven, ect, ect...

Those "no's" will eventually become yes's, but not yet...

Some things were just not ready for till were ready for them... for all kinds of very good reasons that, at the time, we do not fully understand or comprehend yet, until later on, or when, or till, or until, or after were ready and have it...

We should however, keep on asking, and keep on knocking, and keep on praying, but, BUT, "as we grow and mature and develop", cause with that, a "no" can become a "yes" sometimes, or in time...

Also, and for example, sometimes were not fully aware in "what's (else is) involved" with our requests, and I'm sure there are very many other very good reasons also, and I do not claim to be aware of all of them...

But God most certainly is... We have to trust that...

The difference is if you have a personal relationship with G_d you get to know your father and you know your father loves you. G_d says in scripture He always answers prayers but that does not mean He always answers in a way we want but in a way that is best for us. A no is not flat no but G_d will work out things for our betterment but not always in the way we want as we are still selfish flesh.
